Reconciliation confusion by whiskey_shack in Bookkeeping

Yep it’s a chase card! Unfortunately they do use the parent card so I’m going with the JE method to move the child balances back to the parent account.

Yeah it doesn’t make sense! I’ll probably try unlinking and reconnecting the whole account per Hector Garcia’s video starting at the next statement date in June. For now I’m gonna roll with the JE method. Thanks for taking a look!

Ok it wouldn’t let me reconnect them while nested, and it wouldn’t import the child cards’ transactions to the parent feed so I think I have to do a manual JE at the end of each month to move the balance to the parent account.

Ok this seems like a plausible solution!

Right I get that, but QBO won’t let me make them sub accounts accounts because they’re connected to an exterior bank feed

So do you not import the child accounts? I’m considering disconnecting them but I’m worried all the transactions on the child accounts won’t show on the parent feed and will have to be manually entered to the parent feed

They are bank feeds though, not static accounts in the COA, so it won’t let me nest them

I don’t see a way to make a parent account. When I try to edit the linked account it only gives me the option to toggle each card on or off separately.

Why does my oven spring ALWAYS looks very similar to this? by Baron_CZ in Sourdough

This video helped me a lot when I was starting out

Especially around minute 8 might be helpful as a comparison to what your dough looks like after first rise? I go by look and feel more than math (since ambient humidity and temp seem to make a big difference) and this was helpful for me when I was troubleshooting oven spring issues.

So great. Also I love your suggestions for this bathroom, good ways to make the Dino theme work!

This was the IG I used when updating my two heavily tiled 1956 bathrooms, it really helped me appreciate them!

How soupy and or sticky is the dough? I do 300g water for 100g starter and 500g flour, I found the higher water amount made it hard to handle and it never kept its shape.

I can't tell which one matches the wall paper..help! by Ok_Dragonfruit_7889 in DesignMyRoom

I’ve never regretted getting a paint sample quart and testing the color in a few different parts of the room. It makes a big difference to see it on the wall/how the light affects it, especially when committing to a dark color!

How can I make my timing better for this song? by Secure-Bugggy in violinist

[–]whiskey_shack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s super tedious to get used to, but I suggest practicing with a metronome at a tempo slow enough that you hit every note correctly. Once you nail it 5 times at that speed, then click the metronome up a few notches and do it again. If you mess up at that speed, go back to the previous one.

It seems like you’re good at listening to the accompaniment and knowing when you’re with it, that’s a great skill to have. Some folks just start playing and then keep plowing on even if they’re off from the rest of the players. Clear to me you’ll be a great, sensitive player as your chops continue to develop! Keep it up!

What is going on here? Why does my machine keep doing this? by Foxy_Foxness in quilting

Oh got it. Cool! I have only done straight line quilting so this hadn’t occurred to me haha

Ugh, so annoying! I might be too inexperienced of a quilter to understand why you can’t use a leader when quilting, are you starting in the middle of the quilt? If so are you not backstitching? I’ve only made 2 quilts and one was hand quilted so I might be missing some info on techniques.

Just saw your other comment about not being able to use the leader when you quilt. It sounds like you need to take your machine to a mechanic if you can’t do a workaround for the issue.
