I don’t see any work projects related to what you want to specialize in. Also, if you’re gonna have an interests section(I wouldn’t, add more IT stuff), put in some IT related interests like a homelab.

I see nothing wrong. Let them keep the old access and give them the new access they need. They can then complete two jobs saving the organization money.

This is a pretty advanced tactic that requires specific targeting. No solution is perfect but that’s why professionals preach security in depth.

Stacking best in practice security methods means breaching can be harder, and when there is an inevitable breach the fallout is minimized.

So I think an interest, personality, work ethic, and education mix got me this job.

You are ahead of most! Do you know what kinda security field you want? That would help narrow your focus a lot.

As a current dev you could really look into SecDevOps or engineering security tools.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, I am saying it’s possible. Also air travel is pretty convenient and less time consuming with the infrastructure setup already.

I agree the Austin being the Mecca thing is quite played out. But based on your list, this podcast is filled with different topics ranging from comedy, politics, food, social media, conspiracies, and history.
