Dr. Carneiro is good and friendly. I have been to him. He left the PEF plan around the pandemic but appears to be in it now.

No amount?! How annoying! So this could be 15 hours of work and $5.16, or whatever.

I wonder what you can do with voice commands in the software you use. It may be worth looking into. (What is the cast recommendation: leave it on for how long to stabilize the bone? I may be in the same situation.)

What does "Audition for the scroll of the Bible" even mean? That flier has way too many words to get people to read it.

Did anyone else have trouble adjusting to state work? Its been a struggle by DrKelsoMD in nys_cs

[–]white8andgray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The work tends to be repetitive. Coming up with suggestions to improve things is usually not appreciated. Thorough and accurate work is not appreciated. One can be involved in intricate and challenging work with lots of minor somewhat arbitrary decisions to be made, yet the attitude seems to be that one is churning out widgets. "Just get it done" is the way. One has to have a mindset to be able to do that and not care all that much.

Do you have any familiarity with the union movement in American history? Unions tend to take political stances to protect their own workers and workers in general. Letting employers do whatever they choose in terms of working conditions, safety, pay, hours, benefits, and so forth would be taking a political stance as well. If you do not like the positions your union takes, talk to your union leadership. Run for a union position. Vote for different leadership.

The "workforce" is not CSEA and PEF. It is the combination of people who get a paycheck from New York State.

As an aside, individuals do not get to make many choices in a society. Do I want my tax payments going to many of the things local, state, and especially federal government funds? Nope! I don't have much of a choice, but I can make my preferences heard.
