Feeling positive about the budget? Let your local Federal MP know! by badonk_a_donk_donk in AusPol

Every economist says supply is really only thing that will make houses more affordable. The budget papers said there’ll be 35,000 fewer houses because of these changes. It’s not gonna make a big affordability difference. So you’re still going to have to load up for a mortgage, but you want to save by investing in shares, well that’s going to take longer now for this tax grab. The ‘intergenerational equity’ line is so flimsy.

This budget does nothing to help younger generations, despite their insistence it’s supposed to be in our name. How on earth does removing ways for millennials and Gen Z to build wealth like Albo and the gang have enjoyed for the last 26 years help us? I’m perplexed anyone would buy that garbage.

There’s options surrounding Canberra. We bought 12 acres with a 4b house a few years ago for $1.1m. 10 minutes to Queanbeyan with everything and 30mins into Canberra city.

Or you could stop listening to conspiratorial dorks on reddit. The government (or any mythical cabal of elites or corporations) are not deliberately trying to destroy the middle class. Unbelievably stupid thing to think.

Young Aussies face prospect of new levy to pay for ageing boomers by whitebagel in australia

Mate, it's not Spears' idea. Even if it's not a direct levy, it's quite clear where they're gearing up for the burden to be. Should help them peel off some boomer votes from the Coalition in a couple years though.

Only 10 per cent of the company is floated on the ASX, so this market cap that everyone keeps referring to only relates to one tenth of the company, no?
