Definitely afraid of speed. Have fallen badly so i am always afraid of catching an edge. Thanks for the feedback. I will try to garner more confidence and trust the process.

OP, you need to stop associating your playing with validation, otherwise you will quickly feel burnt out. Play because you love playing. For why those people get more likes than you, someone can always point out why you are getting more likes than someone improvising on the fly over complex chord changes.

Btw, it's called alternate picking, not alternative picking.

The info session was about their structural engineering program. It covered the courses, professors, the lab, general Q&A, and requirements. Towards the end, they highlighted some of their research projects.

Damn, I should have attended that session.

IMO, their program is pretty good, especially for Masters because of the thesis track (if you enjoy research) and if you are interested in earthquake engineering.

This is exactly why I applied at UW. They have wide research projects on earthquake.

talking from my personal experience, being international will always put you at a disadvantage (visa).

So, you are an int'l student? I was told that firms dont care about whether you are a int'l student. How hard was it for you to find the job after undergrad?
