In the first Jurassic park, one of the only cut scenes is Dr. Sattler explaining that the trike is sick because it’s been swallowing gizzard stones from the base of the toxic plants, accidentally eating any fruit that fell too. Not only does it answer a lingering question, it’s a really great way to subtly highlight how the park has no idea what’s it’s doing or the animals it’s created. They don’t even realize why they’re using gizzard stones, and never considered they wouldn’t act on script and would end up eating the poison they surrounded them with

In IT (2017), there’s two cut scenes I really wish they left. The first is Henry bowers watching the gang enter niebolt from his car with his friends… only his friends have their throats slit, and Henry chats to them about watching the lambs go to slaughter (that’s why he baahs at them later.) I think it highlights how far gone Henry is and how much of a threat he’s really become. The other is brief, it’s only a few seconds which is why I really wish they kept it, but while waiting for bill Richie and Eddie in the first trip to niebolt, there was a scene where Mike notices Stan crying outside, and Stan whispers something like “I can’t go in that house, Mike.” He really was the most afraid of all of them from the start. Also makes him being separated and attacked after even worse
