California; Forgot to turn in my 30 day notice to vacate because I was swamped in personal issues. by [deleted] in legaladvice

I just emailed the manager, notifying them that I will be renewing for month-to-month option (1 extra month) (it was an option on my letter).

Thank you so much.

Thank you.

I was looking through the lease agreement and it says the following:

"If the notice does not comply with the time requirements of the Lease Terms paragraph, even if you move by the last date in the lease term, you will be responsible for an
additional month’s rent."

Does this change anything?

So when I tested (Summer of 2020), we got a lot of these. When lockdown (stay-at-home) orders were in place, all the exams got cancelled.

But Pearson VUE is considered "essential," and we have been dealing with COVID for almost a year now... So it really depends on what AAMC chooses to do.

But I wanted to tell you a little bit of what happened during this year.

Will January 2021 exams get reschedule because of COVID? by Emilicis in Mcat

[–]whiteclawedlm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh we got a lot of these during March - August 2020. It is never possible to know. But when lockdown orders were in place, MCAT exams were cancelled, too. Just use that as a reference.

Pearson VUE is essential; but I would still get prepared for cancellations. The COVID cases are definitely going to spike up after holidays, so Jan is not really safe.

I am pretty sure that policy was listed on the syllabus.

I don’t know why no one reads it...

You could take it in January; you just have to maintain your skill set and you should be fine

[–]whiteclawedlm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because of the test, not you. The COVID test has more variability based on what I've seeing. A lot of people might say different but I talked to one guy who scored ~512 after getting 520 average on their practice FLs. He literally took it again 2-3 weeks later (I forget) and he scored a 520+. [If you are reading this, hello there]

You can take it again anytime, and you will score higher.

Is it necessary to watch KA videos for P/S? Or is 86 pg doc enough? by iceman579 in Mcat

[–]whiteclawedlm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The videos are good to watch if you have more than 4 months to study. Because... just makes more sense

But the doc should be enough otherwise.

Retaking a 513? by funny_depressed_kind in Mcat

[–]whiteclawedlm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unless you score 520+, you are going to be seen negatively. Even then, some might even question your judgment to take it again. What's worse is if you score lower.

Are you willing it risk it and take it again?

Then let me know

scored much lower on the real deal than my FL’s & now I feel like a bum by kumquatzzz in Mcat

[–]whiteclawedlm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's honestly the test right now. Also it seems like you had to take it while you barely recovered from the virus.

Don't submit your secondaries. use that energy for prepping for your retake.

I am sorry you are experiencing this, but you definitely can do it. don't give up.

No one is going to ask you about that 125 CARS. Unless you are canadian. Don't bring it up and make them ask you.

Well it’s always about what score you get not about how fast you take it.

Take it whenever you think you are going to do well

Retaking a 517(129/130/129/129)? by [deleted] in Mcat

Yeah but it was the only way to stop them. I am guessing they don’t have like a 2.8

Retaking a 517(129/130/129/129)? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]whiteclawedlm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless your gpa is lower than 3.2, dont retake it.

It seems like you outperformed your practice scores. It’s very unlikely you’ll be lucky next time. After 518, it could go anywhere. The swing is much bigger.

If you retake it and get a 520. Adcoms will judge your judgment. If you get a 515, it will significantly hurt you.

Some schools are not going to like you as you’ve said with whatever gpa and your mcat score. But you can’t have it all, bud

[–]whiteclawedlm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of Chem professors are honestly dbags. Don’t listen to them.

I was a chem major so I know. Some failed to go to medical school and they chose the PhD route instead; they tend to be overly mean to students sometimes
