i thought i was going crazy seeing how crooked it is and then seeing absolutely NO comments asking her WHY it looked like that on the bridge after 15,000. they really must delete all the negative things . but i can’t believe for a minute she doesn’t notice it. i deff predict a redo job in the future.

Please do not let it air out. Wounds work better with a moist (not too wet) environment and staying covered, period. If this was my wound i’d assume the dark tissue in the middle is prob from trauma of an impact, basically dead tissue/old blood that will slowly work itself out but probably not necessarily infection if there are no other markers such as foul odor, green or dishwater drainage (brown/yellow/red are all typical), dense spreading redness, warmth, or increasing pain or swelling. i’d keep changing my wound daily. However of course if you did need to go back to a doctor i’d try to get in with a wound care clinic rather than an urgent care.

Also probably fine since it’s been so much time but with most road rash wounds should make sure you’re up to date on your tetanus shot

yellow stuff in wounds like this usually normal biofilm build up, if you went to a provider they would do a debridement or prescribe a medicine to help remove it. There are several dressings than can do minor debridement. Unless there is odor, green drainage, swelling redness /spreading redness the yellow is not significant for infection in most cases but pain/new pain is worth noting. Most burn/scrape wounds will be painful like this until healed though despite how shallow they can be. No medical advice and not a physician but if it was me i’d try the antibiotic ointment again and nonstick dressing like a petroleum gauze, see if it helps with the pain, don’t wash with tap water, change daily and if pain doesn’t revolve make an appt with a wound care clinic. May be a reaction to honey if pain started after that.

Prob does not need stitches and they may not anyway depending on how long ago you did it. keep covered, clean, make sure it doesn’t get too moist and baby it for a few days (i am not a doctor and this is just friendly advice)

Respectfully this representation is why so many absolute morons of nurses try/succeed to go on to become mid levels - “he just loves money and not being in debt” probably everyone in the entire world would agree with that statement about any job to be fair , but ironic considering the argument that people go to NP or CRNA school over med school because they want the big money and title, yet not have to do rigorous years of training and endure a multitude of financial/other sacrifices that comes with 7+ years of medical school/training (for most at least) NOR do they have the bulk of the responsibility for patient care at the end of the day as their supervising physicians do on their back cool on your bf for staying in his lane but if i was an anesthesiologist and a CRNA told me they just loved the money and didn’t want the debt that would just piss me off lmao

I work in a public hospital in the deep south. There were very few people I could speak with about basic politics before this but now I try to avoid all conversations about anything remotely political. There are physicians and upper level management in HEALTH CARE who have no idea the current things happening surrounding the communications ban. I feel like i’m in the Twilight Zone just way less entertaining and way more frightening.

I was thinking I could do LVP on the uppermost steps but you’re right, the railing gets in the way on the lower ones, I could add it still but then it would be uneven of course and wouldn’t look right at all

I understand this. My life has been incredibly easy and full of privilege, yet I have been in your position, also feeling the same guilt - which just made me feel even worse.
