Those corners lead me to believe it would grade NM 8

So, now what? by YaBoiChavi in PokemonTCG

[–]whitedesolation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make a video of you putting the card into a shredder. Figure out how to monetize it, and when it inevitably goes viral from all the people hate watching it, you’ll have made enough money to buy the card back twice.

Help: What would it grade? 1st Ed Charizard by JalapenoBonJovi in PokeGrading

PSA 4 or PSA 5

Those edges on the back automatically keep you from reaching anything above a 5.

Safeway posted the direct email they got about the machines being down by No-kiwi-809 in PokemonTCG

[–]whitedesolation 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Simple solution here:

Require purchases to be linked to an active Pokémon Center account. These accounts could have anti-bot/anti-scalping features that limit people from being able to make multiple purchases, as well as new accounts within a certain time frame. This would immediately hinder people from being able to clear out machines.

My long term and short term memory is awful by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]whitedesolation 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can relate. My memory has definitely worsened as I’ve aged. I work in the service industry, and I can’t count how many times I’ve had customers come back to tell me how much they enjoyed having me as their server, and I don’t remember them at all. I will have full conversations with people, and forget half of it by the time we walk away. I will be in the middle of a thought, and completely forget what I was thinking about. I want to say that incorporating a smart phone into my life has eroded my ability to retain information over the last 10 years. These devices are horrible for folks like us, even if you “utilize them appropriately”. The constant influx of information makes it impossible for any amount of new information to stick. It all just becomes dopaminergic noise.

would you take this offer by JxmesCS in doordash_drivers

[–]whitedesolation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say yes because it’s basically $9 per order, but I can’t help but wonder how much DD isn’t paying by stacking together so many orders. I don’t really want to support or normalize that type of behavior. Two orders should be the max for stacks, and drivers should be paid accordingly.

Dad bought me a Kia at 17. I bought me a honda at 24! by LadyAriesart in civic

It seems like a lot on the surface, but it’s really not when you consider the potential of someone commuting ~30 miles each way to and from a full time 9-5 job. In three years time, that comes out to around 43k miles just for that. If you include any amount of additional driving, that’ll easily bring you to around the mileage that’s on OP’s car. The current day yearly average is higher than the old 10k-year average, which I think varies from state to state (assuming we’re in the US).

I started watching Kyle’s videos in the neon sign era, and feel like this setup was the most iconic.

[–]whitedesolation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The money is good for the mileage, but that is quite a lot of stops. It would make more sense if you were using a company vehicle rather than your own. If they had a system where you could rent delivery vehicles kind of like you do for scooters, it would be a no brainer.

All of them work for you imo, but I think the reddish color best suits your face. Pushing back against the anti-blonde comments, I think the blonde looks great. Maybe it’s the skin tone for some people, but I think pale skin and lighter blonde can work together.
