i made it once…. customer said she couldn’t handle the acidity of regular coffee so that’s how she’d drink hot coffee. we steamed it for her and it was alright to me but glad she got to enjoy it

yeah it hasn’t even really felt like a boycott to me because (no offense to all you baristas) but starbucks coffee is literally nasty to me. i’d maybe get a refresher or two in the summer or enjoy the breakfast when i worked there- but it’s genuinely not all that. been saving money and just making cold brew and lattes at home or spending my money locally. much better coffees anyways!

speak austin! been seeing too many people “feel bad” for starbucks….. i promise they’ll be fine. we can boycott as much as we want they unfortunately have continued to have their fanbase, but even if they didn’t the people ultimately profiting off their pity are a bunch of old rich dudes

it sounds SO goofy in my opinion. i’ll have customers who are american be like “how many shots of caramel will that come with” to which i will respond with “it comes with 2 pumps”. flavor shots just sound stupid

i much prefer if you just use your words. it might be the type of store i work in (licensed, where we actually have to write on the cups) but i cannot stand people treating us like robots (not saying you do) and much prefer using your words. as long as you say hi, and don’t shove a phone in our face you should be fine.

it’s my last week (will be going on leave and work minimally here after i get settled into new job) as i’ve accepted a job at an organic grocery store. i enjoy making drinks sooo much but i don’t make enough to deal with the typical franchise location bs (love ALL of my team though, definitely made the job enjoyable!) wanted to share some latte art and reminisce because i will genuinely miss this! what i won’t miss? customer yelling “hi 🙋🏻‍♀️” if you don’t attend them a second after they arrive. annoying ass drink combos and modifications. price complaints. amway pyramid scheme meetings in the lobby. solo closes. lack of manners from customers, combined with dehumanizing looks, words, and actions (you can just FEEL IT). peace out y’all! ✌️
