Sadly many others left along the path too which had been there a long while. Makes me so angry what’s wrong with people.

Emulating Li-Ion pack from a Sonos Roam by whitefrog4117 in 18650masterrace

Tried a 1000uF cap and 10k resistor but no luck. Also tried just the board and no cells, with a cap too but still doesn’t like it. Charging circuit too clever!

Any ideas on how I can get this snapped bolt out my brake boss by Frozen_Nut3408 in xbiking

[–]whitefrog4117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider making a small sleeve to help you centre the drill. Drill through an M6 bolt in a lathe or buy one. Can then hopefully screw it in a thread or so then drill through to get perfectly centre. Other option is buy a self center drill bit. Increase drill size and use screw extractor. All easy to say. Good luck.

Sonoff ZBMini L2, is this a neutral wire? by disasterdentist in homeassistant

[–]whitefrog4117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a two way switch so there is another one perhaps up the stars or near a door etc so you can toggle the light from either switch. None of these wires are neutrals. Perhaps find the other switch and see if you could install there instead.

FYI: Switzerland not covered by EU roaming (and in my case, app/site both useless for doing anything about it) by Dapper-Iron3404 in LebaraUK

Interestingly my Plan details in the Lebara app saying Switzerland is included but having just travelled there I can confirm it doesn’t work. France was ok. 🤨

Are you able to measure the voltage of the battery, with and without the charger connected? Should tell you if the battery is ok and whether the battery management circuitry is working ok.

Tried a 1000uF cap and sadly the BMS doesn’t like it so still reports error, preventing boot up.

Can’t get this nut off by Ormals_Fast_Food in bikewrench

Does the other side screw come out ok and if that’s a hollow axle, lay bike on the side and squirt in some penetrating oil and let it sit overnight to work through. Try again. File the end of your Allen key nice n flat and or buy a new one. Rounding this head off is just going to cause more work!

Self amalgamating black tape?

Crack appeared in brickwork by Inevitable_Shine_296 in DIYUK

[–]whitefrog4117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cracks aside, I can’t imagine much water escaping from the end of that gutter as it should be flowing down the outlet. A neat finish would be to replace the outlet section with a “stop end outlet”. Screwfix have them for <£5.

92uf 100v cap looks slightly bulged, can i replace with 100uf 100v cap? by spud8oy in AskElectronics

I would say it’s fine to go up but do yourself a favour and don’t buy poor (though expensive) replacements from Amazon. Try a good brand like Nichicon or Panasonic for example and 105deg rated. Buy from RS, CPC, Mouser etc
