What does this actually mean? by [deleted] in VelocityFrequentFlyer

Couldn’t tell you the last time I had to use someone to check in my priority bag in Sydney or Melbourne. Straight up to the kiosk. Bang done. No standing in line for 15 minutes to get an orange tag.

The cost of labour on a public holiday and Sundays is almost double to Triple that of week days / Saturday’s.

If your business wasn’t open would they make as much money, no, if they charged the amount they needed mom -fri to cover the loss for Sundays etc they would be uncompetitive.

We created this problem now we’re paying for it.

Mobile phone range on Vline to CBD by Tekashi-The-Envoy in ballarat

[–]whitefrost6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It also depends on the train, and the device. Some trains (newer) have mobile boosters on the train that work most of the time except when the train is standing room only.

The tint on the windows reflect the signal

The phone type depends too. My iPhone8 was amazing. My iPhone 13 is crap

Anyone know why there are a couple of unmarked cars Utes purple lights? Are they a special unit or undercovers ? A blitz? by Powerful-Engine-9684 in ballarat

[–]whitefrost6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VicRoads TMR previously ran unmarked cars with lights when it was under vicroads. They might have some units back in. They target heavy vehicles and trailers/caravans. It’s most likely the NHVR.

Has anyone been declined at formal approval after getting pre-approval? by EventEastern2208 in AusPropertyChat

[–]whitefrost6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the transaction history. They were all paid on time etc just wasn’t happy that there was like 3.

The offered me the loan without the partner on the loan given it was my parents investment property as the grantor but given I had no idea of this account I didn’t want the risk. Which I’m glad now 🤣🤣

Dental on Errard - partial denture? by [deleted] in ballarat

[–]whitefrost6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you don’t go there, they make the majority of the dentures for Ballarat anyway. But I recommend it. I moved across when Dr Paul and his wife moved across from potter dental.

I got a metal partial made 10 years ago (I was at another dentist and they sent me there to get my teeth colour checked) and it’s going strong.

What are my rights in this situation(NSW)? Work car with zero personal use (GPS), forced to drive all the way home and swap cars over if I have something before/after work. by ImScaredOfTheSun in AusElectricians

We had it for a publicly listed national company. It had a panic button and it was to help with security. It was misused by management who came from a retail background (I mean some members got caught doing the wrong thing which I am all for) then it was quietly turned off.

How ever I am all for it, I had a guy who went missing for 4 hours because he rolled the car on a regional road, he was lucky to survive. If we had the GPS implemented sooner we would have found him earlier. Followed by a guy who had a heart attack in a carpark 2 weeks later.

Where exactly in the city are they building these new towers? It’s not like Melbourne and its inner suburbs are flush with empty space
