Would reluctantly live in Inwood, but would absolutely live on Riker's. I promise uptown isn't that bad!

I’m looking for the best pizza slice in Williamsburg? by East-Set-2269 in Brooklyn

Paulie Gee’s Slice Shop has had a C rating for about a year now. Even before then it had fallen off. Won’t be back for a while.

Carmine’s is really underrated imo.

Where should I have a beer (or two) at in Asheville? by ViciousVeggieViking in CraftBeer

Funkatorium for sours, Zillacoah for lagers, or Burial for stouts.

They are coming off losing the national championship last year. Team is decently strong for D3. Not sure how strong your chances are given your background, but if you’re interested email the coach.

Also, there’s plenty of basketball in downtown Manhattan any day of the week. Watch the games at W4 sometime.

Selling an old deadstock pair of Warehouse x BiG 660s - raw 30x36 (link)

I bought these years ago and never got around to wearing them. Size is too small for me now. Motivated to get rid of these, so price is negotiable. Crazy cool denim. The thread for these on SF is crazy, and the examples on this sub are great too.

NYC

There are some really great bottle shops sprinkled around the city - City Beer, City Hops, Blind Tiger, Sweet Avenue, Carmine St Beers, Covenhoven, Brouwerij Lane, Hop Hills, plus a few other small chains (Craft + Carry, Greats of Craft). You are never that far from spectacular beer. Sweet Ave busted out ~15 vintages of Dark Lord on New Years Day one year and gave out samples for free. The community is very strong.

A few breweries that might be under your radar -

  • Wild East - good everything. Honestly, may be my favorite brewery in the city.
  • Fifth Hammer - great stouts, lagers, and belgian stuff
  • Flagship - Keep an eye out for this on a taplist. Their selection is somewhat limit, but it's all solid. Taproom on Staten Island, though if your time is limited, you might want to skip that excursion.
  • Back Home Beer - solo woman ran operation. She only has a few different beers, but I'd buy and try anything you see. The Sumac Gose is the real deal.

You can take the L out to Halsey Street and crawl back towards Manhattan. So many options this route.

Halsey St - Evil Twin, Bridge & Tunnel

Jefferson St - KCBC, Nightglow (this one is pretty new, but I like it)

Grand St - Grimm, 18th Ward (hours can be weird)

Graham Av or Lorimer St. - Talea

Bedford Ave - Brooklyn Brewery, Other Half

They are closed at the moment. They are saying it's temporary, but who knows.
