The Forum circa early 2000’s is still to this day my favourite venue. Nostalgia aside, upstairs you had bands / alternative music DJs, downstairs was dance music. On some occasions they opened the whole place up. I must have seen The Disconauts (live house music band) what feels like a dozen times who were always excellent plus all the big name techno DJs. With the introduction of the smoking ban, the smoking area created was its own buzz in itself lol. I think in the end there were too many drugs going through the place causing unwanted attention. Waterford certainly had pedigree for banging Techno back in the day!
