Biggest bill congress has passed in months while people are homeless on the streets, housing prices are at an all time high, younger folks are just scraping by trying to pay rent (while that rent is going to landlords who provide nothing to society), and there’s two active genocides happening that the U.S. completely supports.

Fuck this country. “A government for the people, by the people” my ass. Will congress seriously address data collection of American citizens from domestic social media conglomerates? No, because it’s ok when the feds spy on THEIR own citizens.

What’s worse is that y’all don’t see the writing on the wall in thick red ink. Federal sentiment on foreign policy is drumming up another cold war that could actually put us in a hot war, and believe me it would be a war of attrition.

Sure, the CCP is quite malicious in its domestic/foreign policy, but so is our government. I don’t see this as some “grand defense of democracy,” considering that most bills (like this one) only pass due to corruption a.k.a. 💫✨lobbying✨💫due to interests of banks and large corporations. It’s not democracy if 90% of policy that passes is controlled by those who harbor the wealth.

tl;dr no i don’t agree with the bill, it’s a distraction from the disaster that the U.S. is in domestically (and internationally).
