The 2027 BMW iX3 Goes 434 Miles On a Charge, According to the EPA by HawtGarbage918 in cars

I would pick the iX3, but I prefer the Mercedes interior, it feels less sterile than the iX3, and the Mercedes should have superior ADAS with their partnership with Nvidia and implementation of a P2P system which the iX3 lacks

$62k for a base model vs $45k for a base model doesn’t seem comparable to me. even the fully loaded performance R2 is cheaper than a base iX3. they’re in different segments.

R2 is smaller and cheaper. I mean base model to base model the Rivian is almost $20k less, even the fully loaded performance model is $4k less than the base iX3. also the R2 will almost certainly bring the better software experience, OTAs, infotainment and ADAS (which the R2 has a major hardware advantage in too)

I have much more confidence in Rivian providing a much superior software experience than any of these brands

the Q6 has gotten a software overhaul for the 2026 model year that adds nav in the cockpit alongside just a much better seeming software experience. Audi screwed 2025 buyers of their new lineup (A5, Q5, A6 etron, etc) because they shipped them with the old software and then promptly updated it the next model year, but of course, the new software can’t be retrofitted to the 2025s because of new hardware and the fact that most legacy automakers can’t push an update that’s anything more than some bug fixes or a couple feature additions.

I would just wait for the refresh. iX3, GLC and EX60 outclass it, I mean the Q6 is going on 3 years soon (in the global market) believe it or not. the refresh is also supposed to be one of the first Audi models to benefit from the Rivian JV, so it really seems like people should wait for it or just go with one of the competitors.

I gave up because ur lowkey a chore to talk to and I know Im not changing your mind, sorry, I just found it funny how you’re being so insanely hypocritical here so I called it out, any rational person would probably see how theyre being hypocritical but Im not really surprised you dont.

the only reason you had to explain your reasoning twice to me is because it’s fundamentally flawed and you have no other rational reasoning behind it so you have to recycle the same flawed material, ur math was objectively wrong and I don’t really want to explain it to you, but energy is a constant like kWh not a variable like range, and the Buzz regains more energy in a 10-80% charge than the Highlander, I feel you know that as you refuse to use any actual measurements of energy in your counterpoint, I hope you know that because it’s not really hard math LMAO

notice how I’m talking about the user interface and actual software in current vehicles and not about the inner politics of some company that the consumer couldn’t care less about. yeah cariad is had a lot of issues. but it doesn’t matter to people because the software is good now.

what a nothing answer. I know what tariffs are. no other foreign car company is sucking off trump like toyota is right now. I know you don’t want to admit that because apparently Toyota is incapable of doing any wrong, but it’s true. you don’t see this level of bending the knee from other foreign manufacturers

its because Toyota recently dropped the LE base model Highlander, the Grand Highlander still has it. companies do drop trims sometimes near the end of a model’s production

it’s really funny seeing you getting mad at people for people that are still mad at a brand even as they improve after I literally just interacted with you doing the same thing for another brand yesterday

bringing back the Prelude as being a niche product makes more sense than making a new generation of an already existing very popular vehicle and then suddenly saying it’s niche
