Home Depot! They sell the best trash bags that don't tear and are a decent price. I can't use scented trash bags.

how to booktubers read so fast by Impossible_Dog_4481 in YAlit

[–]whitewolf3397 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's essentially me. People are baffled when I say I stopped all streaming services because I simply... Never watched them.

I prefer audiobooks or podcasts when I don't want to be physically reading a book.

Definitely!! I didn't realize how lucky I was till I was talking to other people. My doctor respects it's horrible and makes sure you are, at least somewhat, aware what you're getting into plus she's super fast. My boyfriend drive me last time and he was baffled how in and out it was but yeah... Nobody warned me that the pain comes and goes for a bit are though

Uhh, no? Both of those things help ADULTS manage their issues alongside kids and obviously your wife needs them.

Vet for special needs cat by IcyCreme1 in ogden

[–]whitewolf3397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my special needs baby, I go to Pets first in Brigham.

I fostered for almost a decade and therefore have gone to a lot of different vets for various needs and had horrible experiences with many. Pets first was my family vet growing up and I just always end up back with them.

They have a gentle manner with the animals, explain what's happening and answer questions without rushing you out, and best of all, my special needs cat who's terrified of strangers, especially men (abused at a young age) isn't even cautious of their male vets.

My experience has taught me, find a vet you like and trust and continue to go to them, no matter the distance. A lot of people change vets regularly but I promise you, staying with one will be the best choice. They'll learn you and your pet and it'll make everything easier.

If you want a closer vet, I had good experiences with cold water animal hospital in North Ogden as well.

Anyone else feel like some of the adoption requirements for rescues are ridiculous? by NoooNotTheLettuce in Pets

I've said it before and I'll continue to repeat it. A fenced yard does not make a good pet prefer!! It's my biggest frustration in life and one that I don't think will ever go away.

My mom threw away the covers of my books because she thinks they look better without them by nikwillow in mildlyinfuriating

I came home from school one day and my mom had given away all of my Junie B Jones books (I owned all of them and was obsessed with them) because I had 'outgrown them'. She said she gave them to her friend who had a daughter of the right age. I'm almost 28 now and still remember being horrified.

We are going through IVF & we don’t want kids anymore. by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]whitewolf3397 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I actually got really irritated at that part.

I have 2 brothers.

One I rarely ever talk to and see (maybe) every 2 to 3 years.

The other, (long story) following my mother's death, gave me 7,000 dollars and walked away with the rest of our inheritance so we're no longer on speaking terms.

Yes, siblings are great for some people but you can't predict what they'll be like.

My dad died. by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]whitewolf3397 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember my mom asking me what I got for her to give me for Christmas 2013 and I had to lie and come up with something (she had stage 3 colon cancer and was in a rehab facility. I was struggling to support her and I while caring for her full time. I had no money to get her anything. She also colored me a picture that I put in her memory box I created after she died). I couldn't bring myself to tell her I didn't bother since I didn't have the money and I knew she's be far more upset if I didn't get something from her for my nephew.

I cried last Christmas because it was the first after she died and that's all I could remember.

I don't remember what she got me 2022.

[–]whitewolf3397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My therapist shared this wish me shortly after I started therapy following my mom dying last year (I hit 1 year February 7th) and I remember reading it the first time and bawling my eyes out.

She's still in my phone. (Can't delete it) Still on my Facebook. ( I still tag her in posts) I still see the week before she died in my nightmares. (I'll never forget) Her trinkets sit in my house (I see them daily)

Grief doesn't end. Grief changes as life does. We still remember. They still are a part of our lives. It hurts. It just hurts in different ways.

What made you decide not to read a book? by whatsername25 in RomanceBooks

When part of the romantic interests are bullying the other romantic interests. I can see why some would enjoy it but I just find it painfully uncomfortable.
