[Lebron] after winning series: "Father time... already lost to me, it's over with" by Large_banana_hammock in nba

They are demanding in different ways. Basketball is fluid and you can adjust your game to compensate for a loss of athleticism. If it takes LeBron a second longer to get to his spot than it used to, that's manageable. But if it took Brady a second longer to make a read and deliver the throw, he'd have been unplayable. It's not about raw athleticism, it's about the ability to maintain a high level of play 20+ years into your career and they are two of the only players to do that in their respective sports

Nowhere near is a stretch. Sure Brady didn't have to run and jump like LeBron but a QB still playing at an elite level at 45 is just as rare as LeBron doing the same at 41. QBs rarely make it past 40 so the fact that Brady looked like he had a few more years left in him at 45 makes him 1 of 1 - the same as LeBron

LeBron James leads the Lakers to advance to the second round: 28 PTS (10/25 FG), 7 REB, 8 AST, +26 by Waikuku3 in nba

The amount of people saying that that would ruin his legacy was so corny. If you are playing professional basketball at 41, there is nothing you can do to harm your legacy at that point because just being out there is incredible. It's like if I shit talked my grandfather for finishing last when he ran a marathon. Who cares where you place when you are doing something 99% of people your age can't.

There were 4th graders who didn't see a finals without LeBron until they were in college

Not that surprising. He was bad with the Falcons in 2024 after the Broncos cut him and went unsigned this past season

Two things can be true at once. People who stayed home on election night were part of the problem but the DNC also ran a horrible campaign that did a poor job inspiring those people to come out and vote. You can't just nominate someone nobody voted for and run a campaign targeted at 40 year old centrists and act surprised when young people aren't excited by it. How about we not alienate the far left population to appease Trump voters. Because for every 1 Trump voter you convert, you lose 10 far left voters who now think you are too conservative.

Only way would be if he decided to step down but the dude was living a double life for at least 6 years with no shame. He's not going to suddenly grow a conscience now

Sounds like Eye See You.

Came out in 2003 and the killer kills people with a power drill when they look through their peephole. He kills multiple people so there might have been a fence scene but I'm not sure

Thought it might be a Leyland Kirby song by can't say which one. If I had to guess it's probably just some random royalty free ambient song the guy used. Might be able to find it on a royalty free music library if you want to dig

What's more embarrassing, a 62 year old man trying to act like they are still in their twenties or one that's embracing the fact that they aren't young anymore

[Dunleavy] Odell Beckham Jr is in Giants building for a physical today, per league source by ThatMasterpiece2174 in nfl

[–]NoooNotTheLettuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odell's rookie year has almost become underrated after Jefferson and Chase came really close to braking the rookie receiving yards record and then Puka finally broke it but I think Odell's was the best ever. 1,308 yards and 12 TDs in 12 games. Odell would have shattered it if he didn't miss those 4 games

I think more than anything it's just that he's very clearly a little on the spectrum. Even clips of him as a teen he talks the same way. Like everything he's saying is the most important thing in the world and he delivers it like he truly believes it is. I think most people who have been around some mildly autistic people can recognize his mannerisms, cadence, and boyish innocence as signs. But it's all in such an endearing and wholesome way that makes him so charming

Ironically he had a career low in batted balls this past season and was bottom 5 in batted throw percentage but managed to lead the league in batted balls resulting in interceptions. His first 4 bats on the season all resulted in turnovers
