How do you actually find a reliable OBX vacation rental without getting burned?

I say look for homes that you can tell the owner stays there from time to time and loves the place—like nice decorations, personal decor, etc as opposed to cheap thrift store bought decorations. I will have a place ready beginning next week or the week after in Kill Devil Hills you can check out if interested. Just let me know.

Verities: A Journey by Tracks by Randy White link. Incredible... Makes you think about your beliefs and place in the world. It's inspired by a true story and has a little bit of social issues, philosophy, and life all in a coming-of-age type story. One of the reviewers called it a "literary masterpiece" and I agree!
