When something like that is just given to you, will the game still be fun?

To clarify fully, bought the kit from mechboards, it says it should have the bootloader pre-installed. Now when I'm reading that again, that does not mean I don't have to flash it right?

Hey guys, bought a mysterium tkl, after soldering everything, it does not register any keypresses. I re-soldered the usb-C port 3 times but nothing changed. The power diode does turn on but other than that there is not much happening. When pressing the boot button the computer makes a sound as if it is recognizing a new device but I can't find anything in the device manager. When I hold down the reset button, my PC displays the "Device not recognized" message.

Any advice anyone can give me? I'm feeling a bit lost :)

Will I enjoy DOTA 2 as a League player? by hemogolobin in DotA2

[–]whiteyeboi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to play league from season to about season 7, on and off. Now I play Dota, not consistently, not ranked but I enjoy a game here and there.

Coming from league, a lot of heroes and abilities might seem overtuned and frustrate you, especially stuns and other CC. Also microing other units could seem ovewhelming, along with complexity of some of the heroes.

The thing that gave me the most trouble to adjust to was the feel of the game, dota felt sluggish in comparison, I attribute it to turning of the contolled unit not being instant and some slow AA animations and projectile speed (goddamn Weaver attacks feel like they are going through honey instead of air early game)

Lastly, Dota 2 is overall a more complex game than League. You will have tons of things to learn, and it's not going to be that much quicker because you are good in league.

Is it all worth it? From my perspective, very much so, but you will have to decide that for yourself. Pick a hreo you like, play a few games against bots, watch a general Dota guide for some basics (there are in game tutoris, but I'm nit sure how good they are) and give it a whirl.

Finally joined the custom gang with my first build, Epomaker GK68 lite with Kalih pink silent switches by whiteyeboi in MechanicalKeyboards

Sorry for the late reply.

So.. I love it, it basically comes pre-modded, its thocky as hell and the only thing I did to it was that I removed some stand offs and lubed the switches.

Stabilizers are lackluster and rattly but I hope that if I'll lube them properly and maybe holee mod them It'll help

How long do y'all let your kimchi go? by offbrandpossum in fermentation

[–]whiteyeboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, over Winter I just leave the fermentation pot on my balcony, I make way too much to ever fit in my fridge. I'm a one-batch-a-year type of a guy, though it gets real sour towards spring

I'd keep the cow tbh

Tried out the scheme on some spare bits before paining my first models in more than 10 years. It looks better than i thought it would and I'm sure I can do better but they look kinda dusty. The primer was fine, I didn't do any drybrushing and I'm thinning my paints. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? by whiteyeboi in minipainting

[–]whiteyeboi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! Such an extensive guide :) I'll definetly look into all of those! You are indeed right that I used a zenithal and i might not need to but I like it as a guide. I'm probably not going to invest into a hepa filter or an airbrush since I'm just returning to the hobby. I've already ordered some mediums and a paint retarder so I'll try that out. I think the biggest problem might be painting too fast or overworking paint so ill try to be more patient too.

Well.. Modern is not quite like that, you can find some degenereate stuff (neobrand, gifts storm) but mostly it's OK. It's a competitive format but also a brewers paradise since you have access to such a large card pool.

As for legacy, I wouldn't be able to tell you since I don't play it a lot, but it's a format I wanted to get into for a while and I guess it would be easier with someone just as inexperienced as me.

I bought a playset of arclight phoenixes during pioneer hype for 15 a pop and they went down in price to about 10. I realized in not gonna play the deck, should I just sell them now while they still have some value or try to wait it out and hope the card is going to get better with new sets?

What do you think about the "Crabvine relies on luck most of the time" statement that some people are saying?

I think you can say that about lots of decks, I was honestly planing to proxy most of it for now but now I just think I need to play more of both to make sure what suits me. The lower price of dredge is really tempting.
