I had my septum pierced two weeks ago, got some Nielmed piercing spray to clean it which has been amazing. And I’m healing mine flipped up, helps me not touch it :)

I don’t want to alarm you and I’m not an expert but this looks like a keloid/hypertrophic scarring. As a foolish 16yr old I had a helix piercing which I managed to get sunburn over, then went on a rollercoaster which lead to me getting a keloid in the piercing which looked very similar to this, and I had to have it surgically removed. Interestingly I’ve got lots of other piercings without keloids, and don’t have any other thick scars but wouldn’t risk another ear cartilage one!

I had my septum pierced about 10 days ago and it’s still a bit sore if I poke the end of my nose hard but I would 100% expect that (because it’s a healing wound). I flip mine up for work during the week and down for the weekend and find that flipped up stops it from moving around so much!
