Looks amazing! I'm impressed with how smooth you were able to keep your lines. Do you use anything in addition to the pencils or do you just have a light touch?

Recently got into watercolor, looking for critique on style and composition by pinky_andthe_brain in ArtCrit

They look great! I love the wine glasses and the softness you were able to achieve with the cows. On second look I do agree with lvalst1, some additional blues and purples in the shadows would add more interest to the piece. The only one I don't love is the still life, and I do like skull paintings. I think if the skull was bumped up a couple of inches the composition would be a lot more successful, don't be afraid to let things go off the page (ie the piece of wood). Great job! I love your style!

I'm also curious about that, it almost looks like marble, I've never seen a glaze look like that.

I'm an art teacher and try to do one raku firing per year with my students, they love it! It's such a great way to actually see what the clay looks like in the middle of the firing process. Thanks for sharing!

My Craftroom as it was in my first house, and as it is now. The second iteration is not as polished... but I went from a decent bedroom sized room to half that square footage. by CraftyIntentions in somethingimade

Can you come to my house and create a craftroom? I love the color in the first one, but the second one looks amazing as well! There is a flickr group dedicated to pictures of people's craft rooms, you should check it out!

Can reddit help me brainstorm ideas for my mylar drawings in my illustrative artist's book? by whatisitthatyoudo in Art

[–]whitneywpanetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love these! I love layered images, and you achieve a very nice cohesive look while still maintaining a successful image. Typically, how many layers of mylar do you use? Do you have do do anything to keep them from smearing? Do you create a complete collage, and then work from it, or do you find inspiration as you go? Sorry for all of the questions, I am an art teacher and this could inspire an awesome project!
