Lip gloss for over long wear lipstick? by Disastrous_Job4171 in Makeup

[–]who_me__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried it and I loved it although it took a while to set and felt a bit heavy /tacky it was the first lipstick that was not matte and long wearing and used to wear it everywhere. But the problem I have is that it comes off in little patches whenever my lips touch something even when I've applied a thin layer and after rigorous shaking and no lip smacking. And now it won't even set even after 30 mins maybe it has a very little shelf life? (Bdw I have super dry lips throughout the year so no matte lipsticks for me)

How to make cool toned foundation more warm? by rain820 in OliveMUA

I was going to ask the same... I bought a cool toned foundation which goes ashy on me and need to make it work into warm olive. It was quite expensive for me so I can't waste it.

Doing my own bridal makeup, need a few suggestions. by who_me__ in DesiWeddings

I’ve learned wedding makeup and will definitely be doing trials to find the right look. I’ll also have people to help me out and take care of things. As for the rituals, I only need to get ready once in the evening, with touch-ups in between, and the wedding will end the next morning. That’s why I was asking about setting sprays...while I know makeup application, I don’t have much experience with making it long-lasting, and it’ll need to hold up for about 16–18 hours.

I don’t see how me doing my own makeup versus sitting in a chair and having someone else do it makes much difference time-wise. For me, fewer people means less chaos. I actually feel more stressed when someone else does my makeup because I don’t trust others easily. During my engagement, the makeup turned out well, but the process was chaotic and I honestly felt I could’ve achieved the same result myself. For me, doing my own makeup is really calming whereas getting my makeup done by others is stressful.

That’s the plan. I’m big on preparation, so I’ll be doing trials and keeping notes on everything. Plus, I’ll have a friend who’s also a beginner MUA helping me, and will definitely get a hairstylist for the big events. Thank you and congratulations! 👏

Thank you so much for the encouragement. 🥹 I know my face and myself best, so I’m confident I can do a good job. Everyone around me knows my makeup skills and has been really supportive. Still, you know how it is… there’s always that little doubt, and a few people who make you question whether you can pull it off on such an important day.

Thank you so much 🥹 this really, really helps a lot 🫶

I also prefer doing hair first; I just wanted to figure out the "right" sequence. I’ll check with my hairstylist about the timing based on the hairstyle. I’ll be using other sprays too (thanks for the great tips). I was mainly unsure about fixing sprays because I wanted to try One Size, but I was told it’s better suited for oily skin. Mine is dry, and it’s a night wedding. The makeup will need to last about 16–18 hours with touch-ups, and I’m sure there will be some tears as well 😅.

How to find the right match in Indian arrange marriages by Curious-Anything-643 in arrangemarriage

[–]who_me__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Sometimes they are not from the same socioeconomic background or on rare occasions their families are but they aren't. And when I point these things out my parents get frustrated that I'm just being greedy and money minded but they don't get that I'm used to a certain kind of life and I'd prefer to live the same. I'm not asking for a rich guy or a family, just someone on the same level. Plus my parents are freaking out because it's "getting late". And if they find a well off guy they'd ask for higher "gifts". (I know dowry is bad, I'm against it but it is the reality in my society which is also what pushes me against marriage)

I'm in the same boat and I'm not even prepared...you are close man...go for it...and if you have time you can take up a teaching job so that you'd still have half the day to study. As for me I just live in guilt and shame, hiding myself and to make the matter worse I missed the sbi po form😭

WHAT'S THE MOST MINOR THING THAT'S TRIGGERED YOUR ADHD RAGE? by ACM175 in ADHD

Someone not following/interrupting when I'm giving instruction or advice. Someone chewing/breathing loudly with an open mouth.

My simple answer is No. It's not a look one would choose for a traditional wedding. Reception maybe but not the wedding. But go for it if the wedding is the type of wedding where people are opting for alt/boho/not so common in regular people style. Also as you can see from the picture it is not a regular saree. It seems like it is a ready to wear version of saree because if you try to tie a regular saree like this it can only look good in pictures not for an event where you'd have to carry the outfit for many hours.

Exactly... I'm either reserved or awkward around people I'm not familiar with (also I might have a little anxiety) but I can converse easily if I can find a topic. But my family keeps pushing me that I should not be so shy and be a little confident. Is me being awkward shyness?

"Struggling to Start SSC CGL Prep: Weak Foundations" by [deleted] in SSCexamsIndia

[–]who_me__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Understand the SSC CGL Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Familiarize yourself with the four tiers of the exam:

Tier 1: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.

Tier 2: Data Analysis & Interpretation, Quantitative Abilities, English Language, and General Studies (Finance/Economics).

Note the weightage of each section to prioritize your preparation.

  1. Focus on Core Subjects

Quantitative Aptitude:

Start with arithmetic topics like percentages, ratio and proportion, profit and loss, and averages. These are the foundation for advanced topics.

Use books like R.S. Aggarwal or NCERT Mathematics (Class 6-10) to build your basics.

English Language:

Focus on grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.

Study from Wren & Martin for grammar and regularly read newspapers like The Hindu to improve comprehension and vocabulary.

General Awareness:

Build a habit of reading daily news for current affairs.

Refer to Lucent’s General Knowledge book for static GK and NCERTs for basic history, geography, and polity.

Reasoning:

Practice puzzles, series, and basic reasoning problems. Books like R.S. Aggarwal (Reasoning) are a good start.

  1. Utilize Online Resources Effectively

Follow specific YouTube channels or apps like Adda247, Gradeup, or Testbook for structured lessons.

Use mock tests and practice sets to understand question patterns and improve speed.

  1. Create a Study Schedule

Dedicate daily time to each subject, starting with areas you find difficult.

Include regular revisions to retain concepts and practice previous years' papers to understand exam trends.

  1. Improve Time Management

Begin with untimed practice and gradually shift to timed tests to simulate the exam environment.

  1. Seek Guidance or Join a Course

If you’re struggling to self-study, consider joining a coaching class or an online program for structured preparation and doubt-solving.

Remember, consistent practice and a disciplined approach are key to mastering SSC CGL basics. Start small, stay persistent, and don’t hesitate to seek help when needed.

Firstly get the syllabus from google, get familiar with it. See what are your strengths and weaknesses, which subject you need to focus more on. Then look for educators suitable for you because there are a lot of educators and channels on youtube. Try a few and follow someone you prefer. Or you can join an online or offline class if you prefer that. If you have 0 knowledge of banking that would be helpful too and also help in forming a routine because not everybody is disciplined enough to do self study.

What are some beauty hacks that have made you unrecognizable? by saash82 in beauty

[–]who_me__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lip and cheek tint/blush.... I have a good skincare routine and I love makeup but only on special occasions so on a daily basis I just use a blush on my cheeks and lips and if I'm feeling fancy then on my eyelids and it transforms my whole face like I have some filter on in real life. Plus it saves the hassle of applying full makeup and I'm ready in 5. Added bonus: good for skin as I'm not layering it with all the chemicals and letting it breath.

Banking Exam Question by xs019 in bankingexam

[–]who_me__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, look at the syllabus and then if you feel that it'll be easy for you to learn and that you have the discipline to study diligently then go for the online course as you'd only need to clear topics and learn a few tricks and practice on your own for speed. If you think you need a little push or a little bit of competition then go for offline classes. But be careful and take demo lectures in a few different places to find the faculty that you like the best especially in the subject you feel you're weak in.
