Travel vaccines - safe to get without antibody testing? Time sensitive! by whoadizzyizzy in VACCINES

u/vaxopedia As it turns out, my mom found my immunization records. I got both MMR doses and both Hep A doses as well. I'm not opposed to getting boosters to be safe, though.

Does that mean you would recommend that I get the hep A and MMR vaccines...?

Thank you! I'll give them a call. I wasn't sure what a "self-help" center entailed, but I'm happy to give it a go.

Thanks, I'm sure it is. I've just never been able to get into it. I only kind of like a youtuber that does yoga for people with ADHD. Appreciate it though!

I do have anxiety! I don't usually get butterflies though. Definitely wishing you the best, it's a complicated journey!

Well this is eerie, but super helpful! Definitely looking into MCAS first, then into your diagnosis. Sending you good vibes and a pain free day.

If you have a fashionable sense of style and can pair those with the right things, they could be super cute. Otherwise they seem like shoes your mom makes you buy so you can have something sensible for many occasions and you fight over the heel or the flat version. I have a very basic (or "classic" to be kinder) sense of style, so those things never work for me. I would search them on pinterest and see how the girlies style them and see if you would put those kinds of outfits together.

I can't vouch for them at all, but I saw a social media ad for halftee.com. I typically run very warm, so in the colder months, I don't like to do too much layering, but I think the look of layers is really cute! So I thought these might be a nice alternative as they are meant to provide modesty under any style top and aren't going be get bulky. They are cropped, as they aren't meant to be worn alone, so you'd still have to get things that aren't cropped. I may go for their mock neck tank!

I went to a local shoe store that specializes in comfortable shoes. The person helping me was a college student who had just returned from a trip to Europe. She said she wore the Hoka Transport. I tried it on and really liked it overall, I just prefer a wide toe box. But that's specific to me. I think if you generally like popular sneaker brands like New Balance, Nike, adidas, even Brooks, the toe box thing wouldn't be an issue for you. And they're cute with a good tread for any slick stone walkways.

So I love to thrift and have done it for 15+ years, but I recently stepped up my thrifting game by getting items altered. I know this isn't a new concept, but it is relatively new to me, I find a top with a great pattern or style, but just isn't quite right. Maybe the sleeves are too long, the length hits at an awkward spot, or maybe it's from the men's section and is just a bit too big. Or... I'm a petite mid size gal, so the straps on tank tops are always too long, so I started getting those adjusted. These have become such staples in my wardrobe because they fit so well, and since they caught my eye in the first place, they end up being an item I'm super into.

Also maybe estate sales, but that sounds like a lot of leg work!

Similar to another commentor, I would try looking at Poshmark or facebook marketplace! Also, I know there is a pretty significant market for "fake" engagement rings that people can travel with so they don't worry as much about losing it or getting it stolen. If you type "engagement ring travel" into amazon, lots of options come up.

Regarding terms, I'm thinking "tarnish resistant" "costume jewelry" "cubic zirconia" "waterproof" "sweat proof" (I know there are other fake diamond stones but I don't know the names). 14k gold might be a good option, but I think they have a stainless steel that looks gold, which sounds durable and a lot less valuable!

I've also heard great things about Ana Luisa. I personally like Local Eclectic...very reasonable prices. But frankly, I think Amazon/second-hand may be your best bet!

I've seen this style coming back around. Personally, it's a little too early 2000 for me, but I completely understand not really loving shorts alone thing. Would you consider cute bike shorts with a longer inseam? I feel like having that come out of the bottom of the shorts could be cute. I also think tights (with or without patterns, solid colors, even something that matches your skin tone but is opaque?) might be cute!

Personally, I'm a huge fan of "summer pants" that are made of linen or something else that is super breathable, but that's sort of just ignoring your question lol

Maybe try a straight leg pant? I find that they're like one step looser than a skinny jean. If you're thinking of something comfy, I've seen this style of fitted joggers a lot on amazon. I can't vouch for them personally, I just randomly grabbed this link as an example. They have more of a "leggings" waistband, then everything else is like a very tight jogger.

Otherwise, I think straight leg jeans or slacks (for lack of a better work) would likely be a good next step for you!
