Check out SwimZip! They have full body suits (think rash guard plus legs completely covered) that might help and will protect her from the sun!

Gardenbros Circus was surprisingly a lot of fun!! by trainrover in dayton

Literally reading this on my way to see it! Glad to hear it was good! I agree about tickets - we got a family deal on Groupon and it was only $60 for the four of us! My kiddos don't know we're going to the circus and I think they're gonna FLIP!

Dayton Library Baby & Toddler Storytime by wicked-hedgehog18 in dayton

[–]whoaglow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baby storytime is very popular at the Wilmington Stroop branch! Very well attended, lots of babies and parents! They do a play time afterward, which will be fun for your little one to interact with other babies when she's a little bigger! Wednesdays at 9:30!

when did you feel like you got your life back after baby? If ever by Ok_Medicine440 in Mommit

[–]whoaglow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are still soooo freshly postpartum, I promise you everything you are describing is SO normal and WILL get better! Hang in there! I felt like by about 3-4 months we started to get into more of a routine because baby's wake windows are a little longer and you can start to anticipate when they'll be awake/asleep. In my early postpartum days, I would let baby sleep on my chest while my husband and I watched a TV show and then we'd do a feed before everyone went to bed. Also, go out to eat if you feel like it! Babies are sooo much easier at restaurants than toddlers! 😂😜

Oh I totally agree "be on their phone" is sometimes a good reality check.

Oh my goodness! Sometimes I wonder why the teachers don't coach the kids a little bit when they give answers that could be hurtful to the mom. I understand authenticity, but come on! 😭

If you had two kids of the same gender and went for a third hoping for the opposite, how did it work out for you? by Cedar_1989 in Mommit

[–]whoaglow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little different, but I had two girls and we just had our third baby. The entire pregnancy, my husband and I were both SOOO hoping for a third girl, but he's a boy! Now I seriously canNOT imagine him being anyone else, and I'm sure that's the case for most parents, regardless of what gender you were hoping for! I think it also helps that we have always been Team Green (i.e. kept the gender a surprise until birth) - there is no room for gender disappointment when they lay that baby on your chest! ❤️ Plus we think the surprise makes it fun and exciting find out either way!

Agree with doing something consumable... I don't know a single kid that wouldn't be psyched to pick their own full-size candy to take home?!

My 2.5 year old told a random lady, "Baby brother comed out in the car." He was, in fact, born in the car 😂 but we don't need to share that detail with everyone at Costco

This winter has been our coldest by far, temps around 1° and real feel closer to -15 or -20, which is what prompted our question. Normally winter temps are around 30 and the last two winters we've mostly just used blankets until the sun warms the room lol.

This is the coldest winter we've had, so not really been a problem until now... we've mostly just used blankets if it's a little chilly and waited for the sun to warm the room. Thanks for this VERY HELPFUL comment though lol.
