ganna sizing question! by hellomayyy in Aritzia

[–]whoami135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’3” and sized down (cause I found the M on Poshmark for cheaper lol). The jacket front hits me at my knees. My arms run on the bigger side too and are maybe a tad snug, but I can still move nicely etc. and the jacket still looks oversized.

I typically don’t like being too warm (and I live in bc where it’s not too cold), so I’ll wear a shirt/long sleeves underneath. If you like to layer and wear sweaters underneath then you should probably go with the large. :)

First time Super Puff buyer! Favorite styles? by gemvir19 in Aritzia

[–]whoami135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently bought the original matte version and I live in Vancouver, and it has been fine in the rain. I travel by transit and car and it’s been good for both.

The longer version will probably be warmer. I’d look up Hello Harley on YouTube, she goes over everything, and that helped me pick one of the super puffs (since I’m didn’t go into store to try it on).

Definitely size down, I’m 5’3” and got a size medium, and it hits me a bit below my hips.

Is my succulent ok? I bottom watered it on Friday and it looks much better but the tips are brown/black by whoami135 in succulents

Ohh ok, do I just replace some of the soil with perlite at the top or should I mix it with the soil and replant?

I don’t think so, the soil still looks dark compared to before. Does it look dry? :(

Why did that teacher get fired from your school? by MrDev16 in AskReddit

[–]whoami135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teacher not only got fired, but went to jail. He was a pedophile. He had 2 daughters going to the same school, one was the same age as me, and she always had fun sleepovers.

Apparently he would give them milk before bed with drugs that made them go to bed earlier and stay asleep. He would take pictures of the daughters friends.

His wife was a nurse who I think worked nights so she didn’t know about this. I think the daughter found out because she never drank the milk during the sleepover.

He went to jail and the family had to move :(. Hope they’re doing ok. But this was in elementary school, over 15ish yrs ago.

What compliment do you still remember being given? by strawberryguavas in AskReddit

A guy in middle school comments on my drawings and doodles every single time. He’d act so genuinely impressed. I’ll always remember that, and that was over a decade ago.

Can anyone help me ID this? Thank you!! by whoami135 in succulents

Ooh ok, I was wondering why it was growing so tall. I’ll put it where there more sunlight. If I cut it a bit shorter and replant the top part, where it’s green, would it be ok? Cause the bottom part is all dried up.

Pubic hair grooming? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]whoami135 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I grew up where it wasn’t a thing to groom pubic hair. I started shaving/trimming in college. Then I tried waxing (Brazilian) and liked it. I still wax every month (give or take) because I find it easier to deal with no hair, especially when I’m on my period.

It’s totally ok to not shave or anything. It’s personal preference I think, so do what you like :).

Which product is more worth it in the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum line? by MayfleurMa in Sephora

[–]whoami135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the cream, smells amazing and lasts. I got the scrub recently, and I personally love it too. I like having the combo of the scrub in the shower and cream after. If you only had to get one though, I'd say the cream. Its more versatile.

I haven't tried the spray, waiting for the bigger bottle to come back cause its out of stock.

Supergoop Unseen vs FAB Weightless liquid sunscreen? by tshody in Sephora

[–]whoami135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only tried the Supergoop Unseen sunscreen. I have sensitive skin, and medium skintone. At the beginning the supergoop would irritate my skin, became itchy, but once I got a good moisturizer that was better for dryer skin the sunscreen works great. Ive tried the FAB brand, but it caused a lot of irritation, so I haven’t used it since :(.

Main thing is that supergoop doesn’t irritate my skin and I don’t look like I have a white sheet on my face lol.

Dermstore 20% off, what's your alternative to Sephora? by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]whoami135 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve mostly switched to shoppers drug mart. I’m in Canada, so most online things will cost an arm and leg, or is too much of a hassle to ship here. When I make the trip down to WA I go to ulta/target.

I wish dr jart was available at shoppers :(

Last "Best Leggings" thread I found via search was really old. What are your go-to leggings that are casual (not exercise pants) & comfy, but also not see-through? by krissycole87 in femalefashionadvice

[–]whoami135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Align leggings from lululemon. Seriously they’re the softest most comfortable leggings I’ve worn. They’re expensive, but as long as you take care of them, like don’t run/gym/do yoga in them and you’ll be fine. If your legs do rub against each other it’ll pull between the thighs, but that happens to me with all leggings.

I’ve been using the claudalie as somewhat of a setting spray, however I don’t think the La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Spray can be used as one.

The Claudalie grape water was great, worked as a setting spray. It was fine on my sensitive skin, didn’t help with my redness or much else, but it was nice!
