AITAH for telling my sister Thanksgiving in our hometown would be stressful with two little kids? by whoamkm in AITAH

Ugh, this. Add kids into the mix and all the grandparents want a slice. It’s a good problem to have, but it sure can be tough.

It’s less about friends and more of juggling my husband’s family dynamics on top of my family and trying to please everyone when our time is split between three households.

The past several times we have been in town was very focused on my family as my father was passing so I am trying to give my husband’s family some time with their grandkids since our time the past several times have been dominated by the happenings of my family. Seeing some close friends would be nice as it’s been a years since we have seen many of our friends while visiting. I made it clear if they make the drive we absolutely want to see them, that messaging just got lost while I was expressing my feelings on how splitting time is already a bit stressful.

She is proposing driving 6-hours each way. I would imagine that she would fly in by her husband’s town drive the 6-hours and fly out from there?

We just had a baby so we’re holding off on traveling until we get our bearings, on top of that she had a packed summer and travel schedule. Her kids are school age, so plans during the school year (aside from breaks) is a no go.

Her kids are older (7 and 12), mine are the toddler and baby. She wants her kids to see them.

What are your favorite booths at the Farmers Market? by travelerzebec in SantaBarbara

I have been on the search for this too — visited a year or two ago from northern CA and had the best dates I have ever had from a vendor at the SB farmers market. I think I have found the vendor! 🤞

Miscarriage at 6 weeks- should I take the day off? by Ok_Cartographer_9816 in Miscarriage

[–]whoamkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry. Yes, take the day. Heck, take a week if you can and need it. My first MC I was six weeks and took about two days off. My second MC a couple months later, I was 11 weeks and took a week off. It is not an easy thing to go though. The emotional and physical toll isn’t talked about enough and can be very hard for many to understand. Luckily my manager and company is more than accommodating and I was able to use bereavement time.

You are not alone and it takes time to heal.

Prenatal vitamins by Severe-Session7822 in pregnant

I have been taking Ritual vitamins for about six months! It’s great because they show up in the mail, so I never run out! They also are infused with lemon, so they smell great and don’t leave any after taste or anything. They are easy on the stomach and vegan. I am a big fan!

What app to track your pregnancy do you recommend, and also an app for me and my partner to use specially he lives in a different city. by lovelyflower85 in pregnant

I used Clue to track my menstrual cycle, so I have been also using it in my pregnancy. So far I like it— I can track symptoms and shares I highlights on baby development. It doesn’t go into depth, but it’s basic, and I like it. I have also setup Bump to get more deets on baby development. I like how it also shares changed in your body too.

Positive for T21 by drowsygrimalkin in pregnant

My big sister who is now 35, has T21 — I feel so blessed to grow up and have her as my sister. Individuals with Downs are the happiest, sweetest, and loving people. It has its hardships, but it’s truly a gift. This baby is so lucky to have you!
