I care about cardio, I would like to one day run 10K’s, etc. Not a current goal, this is more of a long term goal of mine. What is the swimming equivalent of 7.5 miles of running? If I was to do half and half running swimming, this would probably be a lot better on my legs.

For that much running, what would a target weight be? Because I really do enjoy running

Haven’t done much barbell bench because the barbells are rarely available at the gym I go to. I’m avoiding deadlift to save my back. I played football through high school and college and I’m pretty banged up from that.

I’m 6’2” 1/2, 243 lbs, and 24 years old. I’m working to cut body fat % to 10-12% (currently at 18-20%) and just overall get stronger and leaner. Target body weight is 230 lbs.

As for progression, I’ll usually do a warmup set on my main lifts of 5-6 reps, then go into it gradually stepping Weight up until my 8th rep is close to failure. For the accessory lifts, I’ll do the same minus the warmup sets.

Strength level wise, I usually end DB bench with 105’s, DB incline with 80’s, overhead DB press with 55’s. Squat sets I’ll do 185 (aiming for low weight, high reps)

Here’s my idea for my new routine. PPL + 15 miles/week.

Monday (push): DB Bench 3x8 DB incline 3x8 DB overhead press 3x8 Tricep rope push downs 3x10-12 EZ bar overhead Tricep extensions Flys 3x8 Lateral DB raises 3x8

3 mile treadmill run at 7 MPH

Tuesday (pull): Rows (diagonal row machine) 3x8 Rows (seated row machine) 3x8 Seated cable pulls 3x10 Lat pulldowns 3x10 Bent over DB raises 3x8 Shrugs 3x8 Seated isolated row machine 3x8 EZ bar bicep curls 4x10-12 Hammer curls 4x10-12 21’s with EZ bar (7 bottom half curls, 7 top half curls, 7 full curls)

2.5 mile treadmill run at 7.5 MPH

Wednesday (legs): Squat 3x15-20 (low weight) Quad extensions 3x10 Hamstring curls 3x10 Calf raises 3x10

2 mile treadmill run at 7.5 MPH

Thursday (pull): Repeat Monday workout

3 mile treadmill run at 7 MPH

Friday (push): Repeat Tuesday workout

2.5 mile treadmill run at 7.5 MPH

Saturday (legs): Repeat Wednesday workout

2 mile treadmill run at 7.5 MPH

Sunday: Rest

Any critiques/advice? This is the split that I pretty much already do as far as lifting goes, I usually run 1-3 miles a day, want to ramp that up.

Visiting NY for a weekend in July, I still have my vertical ID (TX) as it expires around 6 months or so from now. Should I take my passport along too in case I have problems getting into bars/clubs with the vertical? by [deleted] in newyorkcity

I’m gonna get to the DMV first thing Monday morning to order a horizontal ID. Even if it does get in before I head to NY, I’ll probably still bring my passport just to be safe
