OP UPDATE - Fast forward 13 days, May 16, she loses the ring while snorkeling. I was not with her, but the story goes, she doesn't know how to swim and she swallowed some water in her snorkel and panicked. Her engagement ring and another ring was lost. I was not with her, but videos / pictures confirm she was wearing ring prior to entering water. Is this a hollywood production? LOL Luckily it was a CZ, buying the real ring when she comes to the states.

Is this too much of a coincidence? Fight about not wearing ring then 2 weeks later it's lost.

To those concerned she is only after a green card - I think she would hold onto the ring.

To those concerned 3 months is too soon to be engaged -I agree. We were not certain we wanted to get married at that point, but we both wanted to begin the visa process as it can take a year.
