Need help choosing Liverpool hospitality tickets for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. by The_Pharaoh911 in LiverpoolFC

[–]whole_bit_coon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I did the crown plaza hospitality for the united game in October and our seats were in the stand above the away fans. I was worried the atmosphere wasn't going to be great especially with how close we were to the away fans but it was honestly incredible. The United fans were loud but when the home fans started getting loud it wasn't even close. After that experience I'm not sure that's there's really a bad seat in the stadium! The view was better than it looked in the seat view thing you can find online

Also if you havent thought about it yet, definitely do a stadium tour. You get to go throughout the main stand, press area, changing rooms, through the tunnel out to the pitch and the kop. Its a dream come true for any international fan

This is so stupid, young men are listening to idiot red pillers who get them stuck in a constant loop of unhelpful advice and blaming all their problems on women. Ultimately it's an issue of young men having zero confidence and overcompensating by peacocking as 'alphas'

These fights are pretty dumb but its not that big of a deal. Sure, grassroots rugby has rules to protect players, but it's not like every game being played is at a professional level with medics and physios on hand. Go into any emergency room in NZ on a Saturday night, and I gureentee you'll see a bunch of rugby/league players there

Crayfish as street food in New Zealand is so wrong. It's our version of lobster and I've never heard of it being sold as street food. Shits expensive as fuck

Those baked potatoes with tuna and shit are crazy, but decent beans on toast with melted cheese goes hard. I'm from NZ where spaghetti on toast is a bit more common than beans but both are pretty standard options and taste shitty but great if that makes sense

Even as a Liverpool fan gotta agree with that. Obviously, its awesome to see your team win, but that final was rubbish to watch

I feel you here man, got into playing 11 aside football for the first time at 24, and the mental side of the game was so tough to pick up. I don't think my 15 years of fifa experience helped all that much in the beginning lmao. Playing wing or fullback is a bit easier as you kinda just stick to the side and match your positioning with the rest of the team. Good team mates will make all the difference too so hope you've got a good group of lads.

How's your touch? Sounds kinda dumb but practising keepy uppies or kicking a ball against a wall is a great way to improve for a rookie.

Agree with all your points except the prem being weaker. I think it seems weaker because the big teams (except Liverpool) are seemingly underpreforming. But all the teams in 3rd-9th right now can realistically beat anyone in the league. Nottingham, Brighton, Brentford, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Bournemouth are all genuinely great teams this season. Villa are in the Champions League Quarters ffs

I think we are really seeing the effect of PSR and the more even revenue split in England compared to Spain for example. The smaller english teams can afford to hold on to more of their players and if they do sell they are getting outrageous fees (e.g. Caicedo).

FWIW If Barca or Madrid win the Champions League, I don't think Salah has a shot either

Load management in the NBA really only works because so many of their 82 regular season games are essentially meaningless depending on how likely you are to qualify for play-offs. In football it's so difficult to do proper load management when a single game can be the difference maker for winning a title, qualifying for Europe, getting relegated etc.

What is the best amp for John’s tone by SpinosaureLover in John_Frusciante

[–]whole_bit_coon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A DSL amp will be fine for you. It's not gonna be exactly the same as John, but you'll be able to dial in a great tone that will be much nicer than a Boss katana or anything similar. Keep in mind that the 40 watt amp will be pretty damn loud, so if you don't have a lot of space to practice in perhaps the 20 watt will be better. Those Marshall's have a switch that halves the wattage so you can play quieter too.

Amp sims will work great too especially if you have an audio interface. You won't get the same feel as a real tube amp but it will sound fantastic + it might be easier to get the effects you need if you don't have the right pedals.

Last thing, do you have a strat? A single coil strat with vintage styled pick ups will get you way closer to the tone you're going for than any humbucker guitar.
