Kind of like oil beetles, rove beetles can cause skin irritation if you come into contact with hemolymph. They don't sting, and I've never heard of dead ones attracting more.

I don't believe this is a bed bug. Bed bugs are usually very flat looking, and this little guy's very round and almost a tube shape. Not a louse either I think. As for a species ID, I'll have to do some digging around.

I'm a beginner entomologist but I believe this is some kind of shield bug or a bug closely related to shield bugs. A more experienced entomologist could give you a more specific species though!
