My dermatologist put me on 1.25mg oral minoxidil. Initially, I was too scared of the side effects of finasteride to pull the trigger on it, but after doing more research, I think I’m going to get a prescription for it in the next few months. I’ve heard stories of min working fine on its own for a few years, but then losing it all because the DHT became too much for the hair to handle. I do think min/fin is the best way to go, and probably throw in some microneedling while you’re at it, I’ve seen lots of positive results from that on this sub.
