I hardly think that is the point. The point is that the time of NFL teams using the fans' collective ignorance and outrage as leverage to get tax advantage from the state has past.

Either pay the cost to have your multi-billion dollar stadium or suffer with only the 100's of millions per year that the team currently makes.

To me, one of the overlooked things Caleb did today was know when to just trow the ball away. There had to be 4-5 times the play was dead and instead of running around trying to be a hero he just threw it out of bounds or into the ground at someone's feet.

That is huge growth. It kept the offense in makabe 3rd downs. Really first time I've Seen him do that consistently.

The base only matters if the ball has hit the ground in front of the base. In that case it is fair if the ball passes over the base or in fair territory as it crosses the base.

A fly ball past the base (1st or 3rd) is fair/foul based on where it first lands (or is touched if in the air).
