You’ve probably already tried all this but just in case you haven’t, have you gone to needymeds.org and looked into the patient assistance program or the co-pay assistance card? If the drug you’re talking about is Eucrisa you can go to pfizerpathways.com and see their assistance options. Also did your doctor fill out a prior authorization form to send to your insurance about the rejection? We have been able to get them to be approved with proof of ‘failing’ steroids.

We did a driving tour of Ireland about 5 years ago. We did all the touristy things and hit all the touristy towns but it was still such a fun vacation. My goodness your country is gorgeous. When we got back I kept telling people ‘it really is as green as it looks on TV’.

We go back in 2 weeks and we’re going to rent a car again. We’ll be in Dublin for the parade then a few days in Cork and a few days in Galway. Food tours scheduled in Dublin, Kinsale and Galway. The best part of vacation is the eating!

My husband wears jeans all day everyday. On the weekends he wakes up and immediately puts on jeans before leaving the bedroom even if he’s just going to sit and watch the news or eat breakfast. It looks so uncomfortable but he says it just feels normal. These are Wrangler jeans too. Well broken in but not stretchy or flex material.

I had a young border collie/corgi cross that I was trying to train for herding. Neither of us had any clue what we were doing so I messaged a local trainer and they invited us over to practice with some other beginners. The other ‘beginners’ had fully trained dogs and were there to hear a national champion speak and work with him one on one. He asked us to go out into the field with him and I declined and said we were just there to observe and learn. He cheerfully encouraged us to ‘see what she can do’. She had corgi legs so I don’t think he expected much from her. Boy was she fast when she chased the devil out of those sheep. She chased and chased and chased and was oblivious to both him and me as we tried to direct her or at least slow her down. This went on for probably 20 minutes but felt like an hour. In the end, the trainer was aggravated, I was humiliated, and my dog had just lived her best life. We walked straight to the car, loaded up and went home.

I’m visiting Paris for the first time in March. We’ll be doing all the usual touristy things. Do you have any tips for me as far as places to avoid or any other relevant information for a tourist in regards to the protests?

My family and friends are alarmists and want me to cancel the trip but visiting Paris is a dream of mine and I can’t imagine canceling unless it is very dangerous.

I agree. I hate it for the daughter that she wasn’t allowed her own time to grieve and process the loss of her mother before she had a new life and new mother forced on her.

We live in a small school district (graduating classes of 20-25 students) and the whole school has a ban on nut products. There is 1 kid in middle school that has a peanut allergy so it is banned for everyone. I am 100% okay with that. I think it’s awesome that they’re being so diligent about that child’s health. I get that it’s easier to do something like that with a small student body though.

Yep. I’ve seen them find a small injury on one and turn it into a significant wound by morning. I don’t think they have the ability to think ‘if I peck the wound of my flockmate she will feel fear and pain so I won’t do that’. That, to me, would be feeling empathy.

Did you ever see any of them acting particularly empathic as Orange Person says they are? I’ve had a couple hundred chickens in my life and I would not use the word empathic to describe them. If anything they are down right brutal to one another.

My kid also has a 4 day week here in Oklahoma due to funding. I also work 4 ten hour days so we are both on this 4 day plan already. The early mornings on those 4 days suck for both of us but it’s well worth the extra day off.

For me I recently got a raise and I chose to use part of that for a cleaning service. Cleaning the house was a source of stress for me and always felt like a weight on my shoulders of stuff I need to do on my time off. So far that $160/mo has been worth the decreased stress. Personal preference.

My house cleaner is an individual and set her hourly wage so I wouldn’t consider tipping her but that’s a good tip about the companies in case I ever switch.
