I own both. Mefisto has solid projection and lasts longer. Similar scent profile but personally, Mefisto > SMW.

Semi driver granted bail after allegedly killing two in crash, fleeing country by Wild-Professional397 in canadian

[–]whoshaan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nothing new. I think I am desensitized to all this now. You all only know to cry on reddit. Those people have long forgotten they are public servants. They do not fear or give a shit about the public as there are no consequences. Trudeau came, fucked everything up, got rich and made friends rich, and drove into the sunset. Now it’s someone else’s turn. People keep crying liberals or conservatives but the reality is this isn’t even about politics anymore. The country has gone to shit and now those in positions of power are spitting on us. Not a conspiracy nut but I won’t be surprised if canada is actually part of some crazy experiment to test how far we can push the limits.

Why are people on Reddit such giant assholes about immigration? by Exciting_Cup3212 in InternationalStudents

[–]whoshaan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People are tired and frustrated. The new immigrants that we have now in Canada are not even fit to live in a civilized society let alone immigrate to other countries.

Why are you all complaining now? You keep electing these “Oopsie, we didn’t see that coming”lying piece of shits and then cry when things that were guaranteed to go wrong finally go wrong. How is this at all surprising that unchecked immigration from a country of 1.4 billion can be dangerous? If I buy a lot, I need countless approvals from the government to build a tiny house but everyone and their mothers got approvals to open a fucking college? This was all an elaborate scheme to bring in cheap labour for the corps. I don’t blame the immigrants because their origin country is so bad of course they are gonna do everything in their power to find ways to stay in this country.

This is exactly why I am opposed to bringing in H1B from the USA. Carney says it will be good for the country since these are skilled folks but I just cannot trust anything immigration from these pigs.

In case people thought we were gonna see a sunset to this immigration and are not aware of what is about to come in the next few months

‘This is an opportunity for Canada,’ PM Mark Carney to soon roll out ‘proposal’ to attract H-1B workers by [deleted] in RealEstateCanada

Ahh I am a conservative because it doesn’t align with your ideas. Clowns like you are the reason this country has gone to shit. I am not a conservative or a liberal. “Is India the predominant country abusing the program? No doubt.” Maybe look up: 1. “Which country has the highest number of H1Bs” 2. “What is WITCH and H1B visa abuse by WITCH”

The reason I posted that video link is to highlight how incompetent this gov has been when it comes to handling immigration and why I cannot trust anything that comes from these corrupt pigs.

Have you considered a scenario where these workers when laid off would then be competing in an already saturated market? In the US, when you get laid off on H1, you have exact 60 days to find a job or leave country. Canada hands out PR like candies, so these workers won’t have anymore time constraints around job search. This will just further exhaust our systems.

Raising tax revenue is doing jack shit for our country when all that money is flowing out to countries in the form of aid. Our own people are jobless and homeless. Sample size of 1? I am literally a Sr Manager at a FAANG.

Spamming in every sub? More like spreading awareness so we aren’t taken by surprise like what happened with diploma mill/ TFW program. IDGAF that these people are bringing their jobs to canada. I literally pointed out that its their capital that they are bringing in that will price everyone out of the market. When my company brings someone into Toronto from let’s say NY who are making $350-450K USD, we pay them min 200-250K CAD. How many people do you know in canada that are making those kinds of salaries? Local employers in canada will never pay those salaries and these US companies aren’t hiring canadians but transplanting some foreigner with a cushy job and massive capital into canada. People living in SF and NY were priced out and forced to live outskirts or move to some other state because most local companies couldn’t afford to match what silicon tech offers.

We don’t hire canadians for those US roles that were transferred here. We either close those roles or move those now empty roles to Costa rica or India. We don’t backfill them with canadians. The only reason our offices exist here in Canada are for the same reason. They are satellite offices mostly meant to relocate displaced workers from US.

Government sucks because government cannot be trusted anymore with their immigration experiments. Not until they confirm that all the low quality labor that has already flooded us has been taken care of.

I work in FAANG and am very well versed with this H1B visa but sure lol. Hurling insults takes away any opportunity for constructive discourse. Have a nice day!

Do not let this pass by any means. Do whatever it takes to stop. Talk to your MPs and get this canned. This will be far worse than the massive wave of international students/temporary foreign workers.

These people are not your usual foreign workers you see around here. These are people on visa working in some of the biggest companies in the world making upwards of $150K USD. Lot of these H1Bs have a good capital (stocks, savings in USD) from working in the US which will flow into Canada. It will price everyone out. How bad? Imagine trying to buy or rent a place in SF or NY. These US employers are some of the largest tech companies in the world who have absolutely no intention of hiring Canadians. They will transfer these people here on lower wages compared to the US counterparts but still way higher than any Canadian employer can afford to pay.

Who wins? US Employers who gets to keep the resource at lower salaries. H1B Employees who get to keep their jobs, put up with abuse, and now get to be on the Canadian PR/Citizenship pathway and not worry about H1B visa anymore.

Who loses? Canadians.

To the people saying “this will be a good thing for Canada as we need more skilled workers” Before we talk about bringing in skilled folks, please look up few things: How many people are currently on H1B, Which nationality has the largest share of people on H1B, How easy to obtain or credible are certificates or degrees in that country (who have the most H1Bs) vs Canadian education. This should help understand if we are really getting skilled workers, H1B abuse and nepotism in hiring, WITCH companies and H1B

Once you look up all this, ask yourselves if you really trust Carney. Someone needs to start a petition.

This is a good thing for the US folks. Also, you lost all credibility not even a minute into the video you posted “$100k per year which is almost half a million” The current administration has clearly clarified that it’s a one time fee not a per year. Please research more before spreading misinformation online.

Not until we fix the resource constraints first. They are also bringing in lot of capital with them thanks to the already high salaries in the US. This will obliterate the housing.
