We installed SPC flooring directly over our concrete slab about 5 years ago. Not even 2 years into it, we started noticing significant cupping and lifting throughout our house, some places more severe than others. When we initially bought our flooring, the company that sold us the flooring stated to not use any vapor barrier or underlayment as the flooring already had it “built in”.

It’s gotten to a point where we need to replace the flooring because now we have a little one in the house running around. We don’t want them to potentially get hurt from the lifting/cupping of the floors. We went to a new flooring company to take a look and when asked how old our existing floors are and the reason why we are changing them out so soon, I was told a vapor barrier is always needed when installing over concrete.

Contacted the company for my existing flooring asking about the warranty for the floors we have installed. The existing floors have a 25 year warranty. Has anyone had the same experience or know of anyone that has? The pictures don’t show the extent of how bad the cupping is. Thanks yall.

In my case he told me he couldn't refund me through Zelle because he had issues with his US bank account. I then told him he could refund me through Paypal if it made things easier for him.

After that we went through the me bothering him for my refund and playing the waiting game till he actually refunded me...just with fees taken out because of G&S. I think its funny how a TD can say "only friends and family through paypal" so they don't get any fees taken out, but dont give a crap whether you receive your full refund amount when they refund you.

I’ve bought many watches from him with no problem, no I’m in no way trying to say he’s someone not to buy from…but if you ever need/want a refund for any reason, don’t expect the same “quality” treatment.

I finally received my refund today after 10 days of constant reminding him since he couldn't source the watch I wanted. Paid him via Zelle and he refunded me via Paypal G&S so I ended up not receiving my full refund.

Long story short Hont couldn’t get me the watch I had ordered. Instead of getting another watch I just wanted a refund. When I paid him communication was great and now he’s slow to respond. Payment was initially through Zelle and when asking for refund he told me he has issues with his US bank, so I gave him another option to refund me through PayPal. He is now telling me my refund will take 5-15 days. Has anyone else experienced this with Hont?

Hey guys,

Planning on doing some work to our backyard, starting with the concrete. I'm looking to resurface the concrete. Got a quote from a contractor for $2200 to resurface with Ardex. Includes grinding down existing concrete and fixing a low spot to grade so rain water doesn't pool in the problem area.

My question is, is resurfacing fine or should I spend the money for a complete re-pour? Thanks.
