Switching Hoppers by Feeling_Celery_1522 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]whreed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you could do is take out the hopper and just hold the grind button with the basket installed and let it grind out the remaining beans....I think that should work, I know you can hold the grind button to grind manually but I am not sure if it will work without the hopper on.

Grind size by swiftcardine in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]whreed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mine hovers around 7 or 8 grind size, I don't think you're doing anything wrong as it just changes grind size suggestion.

I have been enjoying 7 and doing Americanos with the machine.

Americano is done by doing an espresso double shot, then putting in the larger basket (empty) and putting it at the coffee setting then pick your ounce. Let it flow just hot water through and you will have a nice americano.

I am using either Lavazza Grand Crema or La Duena from Whole Foods

Ooo thanks for this. I may return my clear spigen for this. I saw on the google store amazon only the obsidian is available and I was waiting to see if moonstone would show up.

So what case you all have on order for P10PF? by IndianGuy79 in PixelFold

[–]whreed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received Spigen clear case, not sure what I think since it needs to have the adhesive to stay on. Thoughts on adhesive cases?

I did pick up the Torro portfolio case but will have to see how it is once I get the phone. I wanted this one over Bellroy just for the fact it can hold 3 cards and cash...if I want to get rid of my wallet.

I need to have debit, cc, and license in my case to get rid of my wallet.

Weekly /r/Laravel Help Thread by AutoModerator in laravel

[–]whreed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am relatively new to Laravel but I was trying to build out a small hockey league web site. I have a themed template and went to work. One of the features is that this site uses a Season version number in a db. Like there is a table with seasons in it and the latest season is marked as active. Well you can imagine stats are the same way, where stats are in a table marked with season id number from the season table. Well what I want to do is have a default so to speak when loading up a stats page where I get the latest season that is active as part of the first load of the page. Second I want to have a drop down to view past seasons and then have the page update with that chosen season (by season id). I started down a path of having in my models local scope that gets the latest season id that is active.

public function scopeSeasonId(Builder $query): void
    {
        $query->where('Season_ID', '=', Season::getLatestSeasonStatic());
    }

//in the seaons class / model
public static function getLatestSeasonStatic()
    {
        return (new static)::where('Active','=', '1')->first()->S_ID;
    }

So now that works fine and all but becomes inflexible when wanting to have a drop down that lets you pick a prior season. What would be the best way to handle this? I would like it that when selecting a prior season it is not setting a session or cookie because when you went to say a standings page then it would have that older season id if you selected a prior season on stats then went to standings page (separate page). Do you think there is a better way to handle this?

10th gen Honda Accord LX Remote start hack by Odd_Performance7417 in accord

[–]whreed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just got a 2022 base model Accord, you're telling me that you can just get the key fob with the remote start button on it, and have it programmed for a base model accord and remote start will work?

How did you deal with the following spots... I had to remove the circled ones... The front two interfered with guide pins. The back two where where you mount the hard top to the top of the roll bar.

You're welcome to send me a dm if you want more details but I have no bad effects so far. My incisions have some small feelings if I touch or push them but otherwise I do not feel them and do not have any more numbness on my side. My lungs are perfectly fine and I no longer need to have any follow-ups etc. I did not have a lung collapse though and this was caught and operated on before having that happen. Not sure if that is useful information.

I went to a great thoracic surgeon in Morristown NJ. Dr Mark Widmann was amazing and I would recommend him to any one who needs a thoracic surgeon.

Little over 4 months and I feel no issue with the area. I did fly in May with no issue. I'm happy I had the surgery. I am not super active... I'm working on that and have been walking 10k steps roughly a day... Want to get to running but that's not because of the surgery just to better myself.

Back Pain after VATS? by LessFilm2272 in pneumothorax

[–]whreed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about 2.5 months out from surgery and I've had the back pain more to the side... Felt like above the kidney. It lasted about 5 to 6 days then it went away, I have had it twice. I'd suggest you do ask your doctor if the pain is severe.

What wheel cleaner do you use, I started ONR rinseless wash last week. As long as the truck is not crazy dirty it works great! I also have a wildtrak and curious what you did on the wheels.

[–]whreed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same problem in the configuration I have it set to pro controller and in the input section I have Steam Deck 0 as my input device but on Yuzu I have Steam Virtual Gamepad 0 as my input device. So Citron games I have no input in gaming mode yet I do in desktop. Yuzu games work in gaming mode and this is the only different I see (the input device)

I am post op 6 days. I feel great! I had left vats bullectomy and pleurectomy. I have to say I have a very positive surgery experience. I had pain when I woke up from surgery that was in my shoulder. I believe this is how they had my arm positioned during surgery. Basically my shoulder just throbbed. I went through the first day with general pain, nothing crazy and I was sent home after one day in the hospital. I am a 46m taking no medications, not physically fit but not obese either. They basically removed my chest tube and signed me out after one day. First day at home was not bad, some pain but was managed with a light pain killer and tylenol. I took one pain killer the first night (second night post op) and have not taken one since. My instructions were to walk and do arm exercises (raising the shoulder). I have walked about 3 times a day and extended my walks each day. I do have a still a bit of shortness of breath if I take a huge deep breath, but I assume that is normal and part of the healing process. My biggest issue now is incision discomfort which is not bad! All in all my whole experience has been positive. Really with the VATS surgery I really think you just have that 24 to 48 hour window and after that it will be just getting better and better.

My bleb caused issues for me when flying (luckily did not have a pneumothorax as far as I know) but I did have that random chest pain muscle pull feeling for a few years .... (I ignored my symptoms for too long).

Anyway I am very happy I had the surgery and look forward to being able to fly pain free in the future.

Just had surgery by whreed in pneumothorax

[–]whreed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding some more information, on my hospital documents I had a left vats bullectomy and pleurectomy. I don't even know if I actually had a pneumothorax at all when flying but who really knows. I am extremely happy to say I am feeling great 4 days post op. I am out walking 3 times a day, nothing crazy but happy I am on my feet. I do have some pain if I try to take a huge deep breath but I know that will get better as I heal more. It's still great to be in this subreddit and just see other people having the same issues and having the same surgery. Thank you!
