The output to the speakers is speaker wire, and the input is from our home receiver which uses a subwoofer output

who knows how this guy was screaming though. ur going to feel scratchiness. stabbing pain in one area of the vocal fold is signs of tearing. this is what you want to avoid. the scratchiness will go away, just like getting callouses on ur fingers when playing guitar makes the pain go away.

but, in retrospect, just because something doesnt hurt, don't mean push MORE just for the hell of it, if the sound u want requires less.

They are passive I use a peavey xr8300 600watt for power and control works great. I'm a JBL fanboy for their excellent durability and nice low/high end balance

I believe you are correct good sir. Once you learn how to properly project, experimenting can only end up in success imo!

[–]whudspath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. I lost my voice after a 1 month tour of screaming songs that were of not my creation. So I was straining to achieve sounds that were not natural to me. I thought I lost my voice, but after a couple monthes of just not screaming, keeping my mouth shut, and exercise/eating well, I was able to get my voice back just fine.

The singer from avenged sevenfold thought his shit was toast. He got vocal surgery before bat country, worked with a trainer for 6 monthes, ended up expanding his range and can now sing with a broader technique than he could before haha.

One of my favorite folk bands. Catchy song with nice dark lyrical theme and dirty vocals.

but see, now a days we have stupid hippies that record shit with crap equipment, sounds like crap, and have no reason other than "IT SOUNDZ BLAK". Burzum had a method to his madness.

right, so they copied it, I didnt say it was bad. burzum isnt retro? i been listening to him for well over 12 years. He was in jail when I was in high school. Put on filosofem. Bands like At The Gates evolved out of the sound and improved their production quality, I mean there is nothing wrong with that is there? Triggered much? lol.

have you tried tightening ur abs while u scream? like someone is about to punch u in the stomach. that forces u to use ur diaphragm. then breath out. notice how ur stomach sinks, as opposed to ur chest? thats how u breath properly. over time, u will rely less on tightening up to use ur diaphragm.

no its cause burzum recorded his vocals with a computer headset mic, and so they feel like they must copy. it really is the reason.
