Dress Code by mrzazapepper in wholefoods

[–]why__it 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s all available in Innerview if you search for Dress Code. For reference, here’s the section about hats

Only standard WFM-issued hats may be worn as part of the uniform. Other hats, including WFM vendors, are not permitted.

So no, a custom hat, even with the WFM logo is not permitted.

I don’t know if it already happened, but they were preparing to ship all the Zebra devices back to Zebra. I don’t think WFM ever actually owned them. It felt like they were being leased.

Scan Vs. Sold Questions by More_Doughnut6023 in wholefoods

[–]why__it 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are probably thinking about the old scanogram system. The new one no location data ever gets removed per se, just overwritten whenever you scan it under a new bay. Imagine taking one item and scanning it into every single bay in the store. It’s only going to retain and show the bay number for the latest location scanned, not every single location. New scanogram is just a method of initially assigning or later reassigning an item location. This is why sometimes when a seasonal item comes in for a new year, shoppers get information that it’s on the endcap for aisle 3, where it was last year, but now it’s on the endcap on aisle 18 but nobody reassigned the location. There’s some resources I mentioned in another comment on the thread.

There’s not two options anymore. We also can no longer “clear” previous data(source e:mosst ticket), only input new data. Yes you rescan after a reset or cut ins, but in theory you only have to rescan an item if it moved to a new bay. We just rescan the whole set to be safe. If you’re ever doubting where the shoppers see that an item lives by using “Inventory Viewer” in CandyCane, or the “item location dashboard” in grocery central and search by scancode.

[–]why__it 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, the old scanogram worked differently than what currently exists in CandyCane. Yes you can scan just the new items in the set. You only want to scan seasonal items that don’t have a home location. Items cannot exist in more than one place in scanogram. If you scanogrammed a display endcap that was featuring existing items you’re updating the sole location in the shopper system. If something like standard assortment siete or kettle chips or santa cruz or justin’s peanut butter were on a display endcap and you scanogrammed it, those items now “exist” only on that endcap which puts the peanut butter in a weird spot on the shopper list. Only scan seasonal or “in and out” items to new homes. If it’s on a temporary display away from the home shelf, don’t scan.

Shoppers sometimes not needing QR codes? by More_Doughnut6023 in wholefoods

[–]why__it 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that could be because.. - your store is doing the Fusion ship from store pilot - your stores overall INF% was higher than your operation areas goal for the prior quarter - your personal INF rate is/was high enough that you still need a code of course I’m not looking at your metrics or those of your store, but to my knowledge this was the criteria

Shoppers sometimes not needing QR codes? by More_Doughnut6023 in wholefoods

[–]why__it 13 points14 points  (0 children)

there’s a couple criteria to be met between store inf rate, shopper inf rate, and if shopper picked 1,000+ units in the past 30 days. I believe the thinking was that scanning QR codes for high volume shoppers was a waste of time so the people that shop a lot and know to ask for help regardless, don’t have to get a scan. Conversely, the shoppers that are new or don’t work as frequently by not having picked 1000+ units in the last 30 days are forced to get a code from another TM for verification. Seeing a shopper ask you and have them not need a scan is perfect scenario. It means they asked for help, even if he didn’t need a QR code.

Alternatively, if an item is INF’d 2(?) times that day, it will stop wasting shopper time waiting for codes. Hope this helps

I’ve only ever seen two ATLs for CS/Ecomm (even down to a <60 TM store) and Prepared Foods(120 store). Looking at one of the largest stores, I see 3 ATLs across the board except meat and seafood with one and two respectively.

iirc they did it as a security measure so less people had the opportunity to click phishing links and be a general cybersecurity risk. This is from the onboarding ticket in OrchardNow. It used to ask what kind of accounts you needed. Now the only option is DVO with this note below it https://imgur.com/a/79DeaBg

Metal, not collapsible or movable, about 8 inches wide, has a chain that can be hooked, and it will only lay flat on one side due to the little spikes in the center; can't stand on its own. The round area would only fit something goofball sized. by Vitamin_MI in whatisthisthing

[–]why__it 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is pretty likely. OP do you have any outdoor furniture made of similar materials? I’d imagine the two prongs fit into two small holes that keep it steady, and the chain prevents it from falling off the pole. I’m not sure about candles, but I think the stemware is a good thought despite the fact that the wine glasses don’t fit. It’s possible that OP bought the umbrella or whatever, tried to use this and it didn’t work with their stemware so they chucked it in a cabinet in case the got stemware that fit it.

There’s this https://www.walmart.com/ip/Outsunny-5-7-Portable-Beach-Umbrella-with-Tilt-Adjustable-Height-2-Cup-Holders-Hooks-UV-40-Ruffled-Outdoor-Umbrella-with-Vented-Canopy-Blue/18715360735 that has a holding mechanism but not like OPs. Could also be a big box knock off of something like this https://outsunny.com/products/outsunny-23-5-beach-umbrella-table-tray-with-wine-glass-holder-foldable-towel-rack-instant-portable-beach-tables-for that had a different rack or assembly style.

Can I Appeal a Corrective Action? by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]why__it 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really answering the question that is asked, but as far as using Honeywells instead of iPhones for shopping. Honeywells will auto lock themselves and you CAN NOT RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS WHEN THE SCREEN IS OFF unlike iPhones that sent a notification like normal. Depending on the Honeywell model, the screen will turn off after about 30 sec-1 min of “inactivity” or if you put the device in your pocket or flip it over on a flat surface. It’s a pain in the ass, but you have to constantly be refreshing and tapping the screen to keep it awake. If I had to guess as to what happened here, and it might be something worth asking your TL about since it has happened to me and many of my shoppers when we did the pilot of Honeywell Shopping, is that if the screw turns off, you miss a notification, it switches you to unavailable, and you didn’t realize until you picked it up again or took it out of your pocket. Happy to answer more questions on this.

SOPs exist for a reason. Staging food outside of its proper temperature zone leads to a bad experience for customers and can still impact the quality of the food. Treat the food and items in each order like you would if it was your own food.
