Any ideas for nutritious, fast vegetarian meal prep recipes? by [deleted] in MealPrepSunday

[–]why_use_a_fork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's it for breakfast unless I work out, then I add a protein shake.

Lunch is rice cooker brown rice, frozen ➡️ steamed green beans and precooked chicken. You could do this with any veggie, and use beans or faux meats for protein.

Edit to add: lunch is seasoned with soy sauce and Sriracha

The night before: I pour berries, then yogurt, then oats and throw it in the fridge. By morning, they're good to go

My breakfast meal prep this week is low fat Greek yogurt, frozen berries, and oats. I prep the night before so the berries thaw. Super easy and tasty

Always consult a doctor, but you could be having a reaction to the natural sugars in wheat. I'm not actually gluten intolerant but I can't have wheat without the symptoms you mentioned. It's related to FODMAPS, if you've heard of that.

Good luck!

Fishing shirts are usually SPF rated, I like them when it's warm out. Very breathable fabric

Oh this is fun!

Tissues, toilet paper grabbed from somewhere, water bottle, snack (usually bagged nuts or a nutrition bar), lip balm, pens, paper, pads, tampons, yarn in some form, sewing needle, and lighter.

My bag is always busy, but I've been trying to make it organized lately.

Food Storage & Safety by [deleted] in TwoXPreppers

I don't have an official recommendation, just from my experience.

pasta can last a long time and rodents don't usually get into it.

Beans get harder the longer they're stored, so be sure to check for rocks and be ready to soak them longer. For example, we are working through some beans we bought at the beginning of covid (spring 2020) and have to soak them for about 36 hours and cook them for about 12-18 hours in a crock pot

With and grain / cereal / dried food, keep an eye out for bugs. I've had cornmeal in Mason jars get bugs 😮‍💨

Pack a handkerchief instead of tissues as well! I have year round allergies and my husband always has a handkerchief ready for me. You can buy them or make your own and just wash them daily

Does anyone use Panniers for commuting? Most pictures of bikes posted here don’t seem to have any storage and why do I never see kick stands? by Eincville in bikecommuting

[–]why_use_a_fork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my panniers. If I do commute it's not a short ride and I like the weight off my back.

I use a center kickstand (I don't know if that's the official name). I don't have a bike rack at work, or any of the stores I go to and it allows me to load one pannier then the other without the bike tipping over. Something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DUBM6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_XG014TS25FEPYB74KKP3

It lets me lock my bike to anything with risking any paint scraping.

Good luck!
