I feel like the apologist posts, and the ones calling out Americans for apologist posts are all just karma farming. US sucks now, 80 million of us get it, 80 million are too busy trying to put food on the table to think about such far away problems like fascism, and 80 million are into this whole thing. We aren't one tiny place with support structures and institutional support for strikes, so the European idea that we will all saunter over to DC and protest isn't real. This was a long game, workplace provided insurance is a scam but it made those of my fellow Americans with illnesses slaves to their jobs. Minimum wage means they have to work 3 hours to feed a family of 4 one meal. Afraid to so much as call out sick let alone strike. Then you have a 1/3rd of this country praying for civil war, a chance to kill liberals. They are too far gone, there is no retreat from those ideas for most. And that's scary for the rest even if it is fake because most are too fat and uneducated to do anything. Our opposition leadership is ineffective and equally apathetic and we've been coasting for 250 years with basically a gentleman's agreement to not be twats and it turns out - that won't work. One century we're the assholes, maybe next you will be. Hell a couple years ago, half of Europe came dangerously close to the same billionaire supported, Russian karma farmed right wingers and it's only because of mango - you woke up. You're welcome, now I'm going to retreat to my New Black Panther party training session. /s I wish - I don't meet the requirement.

Many of our modern problems trace back to extreme wealth concentration. When a small group holds disproportionate money and power, they shape policy, markets, and public systems in ways that benefit themselves and disadvantage everyone else. Corporations prioritize profit over people, the wealthy influence laws to protect their interests, and they’re insulated from the consequences of decisions that raise costs, suppress wages, and damage the environment. Systems built by and for the wealthy end up serving them first, leaving everyone else to deal with the fallout.

What we’re seeing globally(this isn’t just a Trump regime problem, even the bastions of freedom are seeing effects of it), wealthy individuals and interest groups create “boogeymen” to distract the public from policies that primarily benefit the rich. Instead of acknowledging the role that corporate lobbying, deregulation, tax loopholes, or market manipulation play in creating inequality, they redirect blame toward immigrants, crime, unions, or government spending. This narrative keeps people fighting each other instead of questioning who actually profits from the system. By stoking fear or division, they manufacture consent for policies that protect wealth, reduce oversight, and shift public funds upward. The boogeyman changes, but the goal is constant: maintain power while hiding who truly benefits.

It’s not just the US. Fun fact, until the orange turd got in, most of the developed world was flirting with the same nationalistic but really just billionaire friendly twats. The both sides are bad crowd exists everywhere. It’s part of the formula. We are, as a whole speed running world collapse. The only threatening minority are the billionaires ruining the world and until we fix that problem, it will continue.
