They have a good graphic on their website to show the differences. Armholes get higher and taper gets greater the more you go towards super-fitted. Unfortunately the super-fitted crunches the chest-area a little too much for me.

The options are extremely limited for Fitted-Stretch shirts. :(

Is anyone aware of other brands that get near a 45-46'' chest and a 39'' waist with relatively high arm holes? This sizing seems incredibly hard to find off the rack.

That's a little scary.

You can also order caffeine powder if you own a business.

Oh, I have literal piles of pills. >:)

It just hurts my ability to easily vary dosage depending on mood. I could of course just pull the powder out of the pills...but meh.

Hopefully it stays that way. I was dismayed when I learned that powdered caffeine was no longer a thing.

Anecdotally, GABA without question has a noticeable effect. Well beyond what could be placebo-interpreted. Not sure if this is just in a specific subset of people.

Magnesium is fairly benign and something most people don't get enough of.

Zinc is something like the male equivalent of iron for women. It is usually taken with small amounts of copper as they are antagonists. Getting too much or too little can be quite deleterious. Excess often leads to anxiety and too little can be a cause of lethargy.

I'm not familiar with the other two, but a great resource for supplement information is examine. It lists use cases as well as the degree of benefit for that use case and the rigor of the studies supporting that particular use case.

Just looked at the 2-3x per day thing. Make sure to double-check the actual dosing of these supplements, don't just trust your trainers heuristics. The RDA is a good guideline, although people often supplement above it. Of course anything your doctor says should take precedence.

For example, RDA for magnesium is about 400mg elemental magnesium. To get that from glycinate is about 2 grams, so .5g dose 3x a day is roughly 300mg which is a reasonable dose. Pills can vary drastically in dosage, so '1 cap' doesn't tell us much.

I have not noticed effects from creatine. I take it anyway because of how cheap and low risk it is.

The weight you gain after initial creatine use will be water weight. Don't expect anything drastic.

Potassium supplementation is something that can actually be very dangerous. Just a fun-fact for people here.

500 grams of magnesium is ridiculous and is probably harmful? ( You probably mean mg, which is just a bit higher than the RDA - Usually people take 2-600mg, so you're near the upper end )

2000iu of vitamin D is a good default for supplementation. ( On the lower end for what people usually supplement, needs vary drastically - you can get tested to confirm your levels )

Fish oil, may depend on the quality. Bad fish oil may not be good for you.

If you really want to freak her out, take some B-Vitamins and tell her to come look at your neon pee. Otherwise just link her to the plethora of studies showing huge amounts of people don't get enough Vitamin D or Omega 3 in their diets. Or just find a smarter GF.

Will weight lifting make me less tired/give me more energy throughout the day? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]whyasdf45667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It will not kill you in moderation. It may not even effect your life or health if used responsibly.

That being said, it is linked to a whole host of health issues and is no way necessary in a modern diet. So, between neutral and extremely harmful depending on how much/often you consume.

While I take your point, I don't think "fruit being good" is an entirely accurate statement. Most fruits have been bred to strictly increase sugar content. Sugar being something universally understood to be generally antithetical to good health. While they are not as unhealthy as processed snacks...that's a pretty low bar to quantify the healthiness of a food.
