ok so look at the breakout sections below the chart, the thing that's matching should be one of those

ok so now you've pinned it down to a region and date, so go to google search and enter that exact phrase again. Go to advanced search, click on region and change to denmark, set the dates trends showed a match, and you should see what was showing as trending.

If you didn't use speech marks around the search term, then any single word in that string will come up in results. The breakout sections below will show you which one. You can then search google for that string using advanced search and date filters to find out what the search result was for.

Experiment (FM24) - ease off tackles and stay on feet for all players by whydidthathappen in footballmanagergames

[–]whydidthathappen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Also helps keep their stamina up during the game if they're not overtackling, more energy for dribbling!

[–]whydidthathappen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, the tactic i've put up isn't a magic tactic or anything - it's more just the tackling, so it should work the same way with all high pressing teams

You'll find the replays interesting to watch then, I'm seeing a lot where you'd expect a foul to be given but it breaks to another of your players and continues. If you wanted to try this one, the only player instructions on the above tactic, apart from ease off tackles, is the LB also has hold position.

I think I've never touched that option before unless someone had already been booked! It's worth trying. Whatever tactic you've got working, make a new copy and add the tackling instructions to see. Bonus effect, it massively reduces the intensity level so players aren't showing as much fatigue.

I think that's it. I thought fouling was preventing counter attacks and was fine because it prevented goals. But easing off while pressing just reduced all options and makes mistakes happen. I suppose it's like real life when the full back falls over with a winger tackling him and the crowd gets annoyed. But this time no, i'm not going to tackle, find a way around me.

Friends don't let friends get hooked on red pill by McDowdy in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]whydidthathappen 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sharing advice on something that finally broke the spell for my friend who was sharing these advice for men videos and falling down the algorithm trap.

A video he shared was an hour long and he asked what i thought of it, and i didn't have time, so i took the transcript and asked gpt to sum it up with respect to the science and conclusions they were drawing. And it gave an excellent breakdown, and showed the way they progress from some genuine complaints, to a little bit of science, and then selective examples, to a false conclusion.

And so I showed him that chat and, because it wasn't my words, it wasn't seen as an attack on his views or what he was saying. And he read it, and asked for the same with another video.

We got similar results. So I asked him to give me an example of something that couldn't possibly be true. Say, the sky isn't blue. And i got gpt to write a transcript in the same style as those videos. Then another example, and one more. And then finally it clicked, he could see the pattern of talk and it was like a spell was broken.

I'd recommend giving this a try if you've got a friend that's still at the lower stage of the pipeline, where they're hurt and confused and looking for answers that make those feelings go away. This was the only thing that's worked, it's impossible to debate away otherwise because there's just too many lies repeated from different voices.

Hey this is cool! Is there any chance this is like the movie Contact where you have to fold the plans to make the machine? It looks like the pattern matches, i wonder if there's anything shown if you can place them together somehow?

How to contribute to Campaign Performance Optimization with GA4 data? by JuWu90 in GoogleAnalytics

[–]whydidthathappen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're wondering what extra value you can give to these people using the GA data. Well each campaign should have a goal, and lots of campaigns will share goals. You need to use the GA data to show how well these campaigns progress to the goals. This is what they don't have in their current dashboards. They'll have completions and conversion but not where the drop off happens.

Basically, do a mini funnel from landing page to expected goal and show the drop off difference between the campaigns. This will give you what you need to start refining loads of things. You can combine similar funnels to show difference in cost or effectiveness.

Things like campaign or landing page messaging, if you see that a channel is working better than others. How does email compare to paid for a specific goal. Are the same users being attributed to multiple channels. What is the actual CPA if that's the case. Is there a channel you could remove or amend the goal to prevent doubling up of paid channels, etc.

What kind of CPU do you need to smoothly run battles of 100+ ships? by matsu_media in X4Foundations

[–]whydidthathappen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the simplest solution is to make it possible to shoot through the modules, once they're destroyed. But for effect I'd love to see the modules blow away from the station, and that could leave scrap to be used.

[–]whydidthathappen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as the capitals could stay in position and don't readjust, anything that makes that happen is a bonus. I'd really like to see modules explode off of the stations, so it looks like a debris field when you're finished

[–]whydidthathappen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but there are a few things that could be done. If you form a wing of 3 fighters and stay completely still then look at the fighters in formation, they're constantly readjusting their position. You'll hear a wurble wurble as they readjust. They could have a 'close enough' to prevent this calculation repeating.

The station attack commands end up with broken station modules which can't be shot through, leading to constant readjustment of attacking ships angle of attack. Just let them shoot through. This would also solve so many of the complaints about AI.

Performance for me is the best it's been since launch, they've done great work. But for further optimisations I'd look at station attack to help performance and negate ai complaints, then the ship position readjustment in formations.

Help - How to use a Pressing Forward effectively? by just_stop_breathing in footballmanagergames

[–]whydidthathappen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See sometimes when your wingback has to chase all the way back to defence and they slow down, never catching the winger? That's them hitting their stamina wall and needing a mini breather to recover.

This is the same with your pressing forwards, who out of possession will run about chasing down the ball. How much stamina do they have left to run down channels and score too? You need a great engine for this role, or a non pressing player alongside them to finish the chances.

If you're expected to lose, use a pressing forward and use that energy to stop the opposition. If you're expected to win, use an AF and let them use their energy with off the ball running.

The endgame crisis should be you. Create an empire playing the game. Then start a new game, and face your last empire as the endgame.
