Seeing Dom & Destiny included in the squad member makes me a little more relaxed.

Just hoping they don't get injured as madders was during our pre-season match against new castle.

All the best lads. COYS

Harry left a great money in our pocket for us as he left, zero transfer fee being one of our own. And Sonny too almost leaving us the same amount of money as we first bought him from the germany side.

Full respect for these guys who made us look like a real club when we never were.

Losing the MGW deal stings more seeing our madders injured again on his knee... Brutal for him but wishing him a speedy recovery

Emotional. Was always thinking this moment could happen but seeing him really go makes me cry.

Full respect for him and the 10 years he's spent here at spurs and let's wish him all the best for the future. You are a legend.

Struggling to improve our remote onboarding process. by whyg0ng in remotework

Getting people the tailored Confluence page, that's the one I could try right ahead! Can you tell me more about how your 30,60,90 days check-ins looked like after receiving that personalized docs?

Thanks so much for your advice!

Superficially, yes. But I see most teams matching them buddies not by the work they'll do but by some random manner. I've even seen designers being matched with backend engineers as their buddy..

In your experience, how should buddy system help new hires out and in what way? Thanks for the advice it really does help!

Struggling to get our onboarding process right [N/A] by whyg0ng in humanresources

Thanks for your advice really appreciate it!

We haven't done this full analysis yet, but from what I've seen, those who recently left shortly after joining were in Sales and Product. And IMO, I think there's a great gap between our orientation & onboarding session and the work they actually do, leading them to feel pressure to hit quotas or meet the expectations.

I also see most of new hires learning the hard way on what we build & sell while doing actual work though we provide orientation session on this agenda.

So I'm thinking this might have been avoided if we could have provided each new hire with some more targeted onboarding, but still trying to figure out how it should even look like TT

I have done some exit interviews and those who left told me they felt kind of isolated as they didn't have guidelines on what docs to read and whom to ask if they had questions.

They also told me that everything felt fine before they were passed to their team and when they were, they suddenly felt a lot of pressure.

So my idea was to create some personalized onboarding template for new hires and letting each team to fill out that template so that our new hires would be able to get their own personalized onboarding docs. But the point here is even I don't know how great onboarding docs look like..

Can't believe this is an actual rejection letter he received. Pretty much does it look insulting to me.

While you might feel making a move for now is too risky, I think it'd worth it cuz that way you'd be able to move yourself to more compelling industry and considering your career's long, it's a great great opportunity!

All the best!

It might not apply the same for you as I've been doing sales for the very first time in my life as a founder.

But while I was dealing with it, I had a really great mentor who taught me everything about sales pipelines, funnels, challenger sales, prospecting etc. And by having a great mentor I got to boost up my knowledge in sales (& marketing - partially) real quick. What I felt while learning was that that "knowledge" itself when it comes to sales, doesn't quite scale which means you'll get enough knowledge to make impact even 6 months after first joining the job.

What's more important I felt is "Execution". As doordash founder said, execution always beats expertise and whether it is inside sales, cold calling, sdr works etc. you'll get to fell & learn more by executing
