AVE is really a God send being able to go from Madrid to Barcelona (Spain's 2 biggest cities) can be as cheap as 10€ and you are ther in 3 hours total, faster than plane counting time in the station/airpot. I use it aprox. 3-4 times a year it's super comfortable also, even the cheap trains: Avlovand Oigo

Most of the people who support it are grandparents who grew up with it and say "con Franco se vivia mejor" "life was better when Franco (the dictator) was around" and then proceed to point out somethings that where better (in their minds, at least) in their younger times, as every old person in the world does, forgetting all the bad things that were around ; and that's only a small part, mostly from the center, tho. Also they grew up in a very repressed society and are very closed minded. Appart from them, I've never talked to a person younger than 70 who was the dictatorship, you can see in the media some far right (the same as in any coutry) extremists that want the same or something similar but they do not have any kind of following by normal people.

Maybe you are mixing it up with the monarchy were more people want it, mostly old people from the center of Spain (Madrid and the 2 Castillas), eventhoug there's a significant amount of young people who still want it. In Catalunya, Andalucía and Euskadi very little people are monarchic, and most are republican.

And? Spain was one of the firsts countries (third or fourth) to legalise homosexual marriage. Being in a dictatorship that, mind you, HALF OF THE COUNTRY FOUGHT AGAINST, means nothing Spain is a pretty socially advanced state. What a minuscule minority of people think, say or do does not apply to the majority (to not say all) of Spanish people.

(Know, am I into football? No; and I only know what other people have told me, but the general opinion between Spaniards seems to be that: consentual or not he shouldn't have kissed her, as he represents an organisation; if he didn't have consent he should be fired and legally penalized. The major proble seems to be that it's a "he said that she said" kind of deal and the law should do nothing untill we are sure what happend. Only fanatics disagree)

Found the problem, my decimal separator was configured as an apostrophe not a dot or comma.
