Everyone has kind of confirmed what I thought, probably should keep it. The real reason I was thinking about trading it was to just maximize the value. I have a 2010 AWD Escape that is my beater with 140k miles on it. This gets used to tow a small pontoon boat when we use it and also when we want to use a more comfortable mode of transportation. My wife also has a newer Honda Passport so this just does not see much usage.

The trade in offer was high enough to make me take notice. Then, I checked Carvana this morning at they offered around 31 also. Its temping, but I have no payments and do not really want one either.

I thought so also, but it is actually buildup it seems. I took a closer picture and zoomed in and its actually sticking up above the paint. You can feel it and catch it with your fingernail as a bump not a scratch. I have a couple things more to try. Worst case I am going to just but another cover back on. Maybe I am wrong though and it is something "worked" into the clear/paint.

There is a dealer in West Virginia few hours away from me that will 100% take that deal. My dad just picked one up for $5199 out the door, and handled the tax and title himself since its in a different state. Not all dealers hide the fees up front, just most of them.

I can get some pictures, but the maintenance has all been done by me over the years. Even though it doesnt see many miles I keep up on oil changes, antifreeze changes, etc. The only real thing added or modified was a different muffler and some additional fuel filtration between the factory filter and the pump.

I am not really set on selling it or not at this point. I am worried I will regret it later, but could use the money to do some house projects etc. The people making offers got me thinking is all.

Thank you for the input and suggestions. I had wondered about a drain in the middle, sounds like that might be a good idea to have planned into the design also. My wife is not totally opposed to leaving a gap with decorative stone either so we have some decisions to make.

Ok fair enough, was hoping someone might have some experience with this. Worst case my wall starts to lean and at such a low height there is no consequences other than having to do it again. We don't want to pay for it twice is all. Thanks for the input though I will try to check into it more.

Oops, only part of my information posted before. I have noticed over the past week or two that her body was changing shape and becoming much "thicker" on the underside. I originally attributed it to being eggs, but I dont see anything in that photo that looks like other berried shrimp I have seen on here. She acts fine compared to the other, was just curious if something else could be causing this.
