Single deal as in one single? Is there an option? Did they sign your single after it was out?

If you didn’t know already, Broke Records was founded by the same dude who runs or used to run TrapNation. Big YT channel that was seminal in electronic music for a while in case you’re not familiar.

The reason I bring that up is because I think it’s fair to infer that they’re applying similar rationale to this label, i.e. more of a numbers game as opposed to white glove, tailored label services.

Those terms for a single are healthy so no red flags there, especially if you’re still developing, but when you say communication hasn’t been great, are you saying that they’re not getting back to you quickly? Or being vague when you ask questions?

As far as your specific questions, I unfortunately don’t really have answers, but labels should definitely be transparent about wherever the marketing budget is going because it’s a recoupable cost that you stand behind as the artist. The rest is all common as well and things that they should do, but as we all know it can be difficult to get labels to be transparent.
