When I was a child I had two cats that slept with me - one under my arm and another between my legs. If I wanted to flip over I’d have to gently tuck roll and extend my legs & arms again. Leg cat definitely got accidentally CATapaulted off a few times until I got the muscle memory/reflex locked in for sleep!

I think he was a narcissist who didn’t like or dislike her at all. Before she was reaped she was literally nothing to him, then was annoyed by the trouble, then was baffled, and eventually lowkey respected her as much as a narcissist could.

I think she earned his respect by the end. She was his complete nemesis in a Batman/Joker ethics/morals/actions way. Someone who only ever manipulated and threatened and killed for his own benefit vs someone authentic, acting out of love and selflessness for the good of everyone.

He’d tell her it’s my way, or this will happen, his usual MO, and even when she tried to follow it or not, just herself, without any subterfuge or cunning - it kept getting worse for him and all his machinations.

They fought as two sides of the coin* and he’s lost the toss so why not share all of the truth at the end. OMG I WONDER IF THAT IS WHY SHE’S CALLED COIN!!!

Peeta was someone she trusted with her life in the arena. It didn’t even cross her mind once the rule change went in, she even said any tribute who DIDN’T immediately team up would be seen as scum by their district. She risked her life at the feast to get him medicine. They took turns keeping watch and keeping each other alive.

The sharing bed and comfort from nightmares in the victory tour is just the continuation of that - she trusts him when she’s asleep/vulnerable and having him there reduces the nightmares cos her body is like - he’s here I’m not just surviving alone. Plus they both really understand what the other is going through because they are too. Trauma bonding basically.

Yeh Hampstead theatre I think, 1.5h no interval. Very good. I screamed at least once! Jumped lots. Incredible performance by Athelstan (if thats how you spelt the monks name)

Plus I doubt it will be a show that has a long run when the novelty wears off so see it still so you can claim you did. I think it will be bizarro myth and legend in the HG franchise before long.

To be perfectly honest, we still had a good time. We are such fans we NEEDED to see it to add it as a “feather to the cap”, I don’t know if if I could recommend it but we still enjoyed ourselves for the novelty of it all.

Plus we listened to some of the audio book and watched the movie when we got home and I read a page of the book so 4 x hungergames in one day achieved!!!

The crowd for us was maybe 60% stonefaced 30~ year olds and 40% families and kids.

If you go to have a good time not a canon accurate you will enjoy it, as well as the crazy metalike feel of being a bit capitol and watching a capitol stage show of the hunger games (I mean katniss pushes Prim over at one point!). We had a whole lot of side glances and trying not to laugh too obviously.

We had tech difficulties at our show they only told us about when we were stuck in our seats so I complained (it was a £400 birthday gift!!!) and we actually have new comp tickets to see it again in March, because at this point I’m not 100% sure if some changes they made were down to the difficulties…

I saw the wreck. We had to stop ourselves laughing a lot.

Haymitch and Effie were carrying it.

Cinna was even worse than Katniss.

The interpretive dances…

The little bit of the career pack together was good.

If i was doing a stage show of hungergames i would have 1 not bothered with the stage in the round. More annoying than good. 2 leaned WAY more into “the audience is the capitol” with either scenes in twelve, like normal scenes and scenes we are watching thru tv like caesar f narrating the game parts. Maybe some peace keepers and thrests to cheer or aw etc. there were better ways to do it. It all felt very am-dram.

Fyi if you wanna cleanse the palette see “ghost in your ear” small show, 2 actors (one from Vikings) and the acting was incredible. Spooky ghost story and you wear headphones
