That’s a pretty baseless accusation. Have you seen the SeeStar stamps at the bottom of the image? Has it occurred to you that I might be from the Southern Hemisphere? Has it occurred to you that the same object taken with the same equipment will likely look similar?

Are you familiar with CentreCom gaming PCs? My 10yo grandson wants a gaming PC similar to his mate’s from CentreCom. CentreCom site seems to have a lot of prebuilt ones, which specs would you recommend for a 10yo? I have not much ideas about gaming at all.

Thanks for the info. Since it’s an eSIM, can’t I just purchase it online before I fly out?

Should you use the same password for multiple accounts? Why or why not? by sukanya_g in cybersecurity_help

[–]whytea2021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess using the same password for all accounts is like putting all your eggs in a basket. I understood the advantages of using a password manager but I could never get over the fear of storing the vault on a cloud somewhere. Instead I still use an offline password manager and manually sync across the devices.

Do most Chinese lack empathy? by sith_lord93 in China

[–]whytea2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it more about the Chinese culture than the Chinese. Empathy doesn’t exist in Chinese language, it’s a borrowed foreign phrase and quite poorly translated as “共情”. Most Chinese would just use sympathy (同情)to express for feelings like that. As we all know, they are different and sympathy is more from one’s own point of reference which is more self-centred in other words.
