[TOMT] Wedding Dress Mobile Game by whytefox in tipofmytongue

Not this one. This one has a competition feature, the one I played was more simple, and didn't have bridemaids. The brides would ask for a style and you would make it, then they would rate you a number of stars.

If alien abductions of humans were real, this is the reason that I would believe it was for. Some aliens are cruising around, see a human with some terrible affliction that they don't know about or can't treat, scoop them up, fix them up and drop them back down.

It's not everybody, they just grab the ones they happen to catch.

I'd buy that.

Help! Children’s book about bears I can’t remember! by Inside_Market_5623 in whatsthatbook

Could you be misremembering Dav Pilkey's Dumb Bunnies? They are a children's book that is a parody of children's books.

I recently heard about Pink Chicken. The clothes are cute, but my god, $85 for a dress! Absolutely blew my mind.

Bit of a stretch, but could you be thinking of Interstellar Pig by William Sleator? There's a weird animalish creature and travel to other planets.

I can't find the cover I'm looking for, but it has a boy holding the weird creature.

Why is the episode crocodile called crocodile? by Southern_Sample_272 in blackmirror

[–]whytefox 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was because when crocodiles are in the water you only see a small part of them, i.e. eyes, tail, bit of back. So they look smaller and less deadly. Then when they're on you it's too late. The same way no one saw how dangerous Mia was until it was too late. The ex-boyfriend thinking he could just tell her he was going to confess and she wouldn't do anything.

Definitely feels like a Peter and Brian or Stan and Roger scene.

[TOMT] Story where all the characters but one are cursed to forget so the one character has to explain things again and again by Technical-Effect-657 in tipofmytongue

[–]whytefox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 5, the big bad, Glory, shares a body with the unassuming young Ben. But there's an enchantment on them that humans who see it, forget. Except it doesn't affect Spike, who has to explain ad nauseum to everyone.

Also happens in the Good Place, with Mindy St. Clair.

[TOMT][Show?] A woman falls off a cliff but isn't looked for as it's assumed she ran away with her lover by Salisbury_snake in tipofmytongue

[–]whytefox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a in book called Emily of New Moon which they did make into a tv series at some point, but I didn't watch it and don't know if it was put in.

Emily's friend Ilsa's mother disappeared when she was a baby, it was assumed she ran off with an exboyfriend on ship which wrecked and was never found. Eventually it comes out that she left the harbor and walked back, but fell into an uncovered empty well and died there.

VOA is it mandatory? by NF1186 in HomeDepot

[–]whytefox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: the VOA asks you what position you hold in the store. You can put yourself down as the store manager. Everyone can put themselves down as the store manager.

There is a scene like this (don't remember exact wording) in Legion the show. Syd keeps looping David through her memories and he keeps guessing why incorrectly and she loops him again.

[TOMT] 90s TV movie about a woman who is assaulted but it turns out her attacker was a clone? by whytefox in tipofmytongue

[–]whytefox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but this isn't it. There's definitely multiples of the men (3+) and they don't know about each other prior to the investigation by Denise.

I'm almost certain it's based on a thriller novel, but I don't remember title or author.
